Wishing you all wellness in abundance as I bring to share with you vegan delicacy I prepared with black soy sauce as base ingredient for a fried rice š„ as lunch this Sunday .
Soy sauce has the best ways we can incorporate it in our various recipes, enjoying its richness in flavors on our foods as a base ingredient or added side ingredients just like I did in this recipe.
And what do we usually desire in foods if not some good delicious taste that will give us satisfaction knowing that we can always prepare something good in our kitchens. And as a food lover, I usually want to try something new to add to the kitchen roadster which makes lunches and dinners very easy to bring to the table.
Soy sauce fried rice is a classic on its own and you will only get to know if you ever try making this recipe because its not just another fried rice but a signature as it uses pretty minimal ingredients to create a wonderful flavors.
Traditionally, soy sauce fried rice uses animal fats like that of pork and chicken but as vegan š± lovers soy oil, vegetable oil almond oil or margarine is used instead to create the best taste. Its simple and straightforward.
Here I take you through the process step by step.
INGREDIENTS:
300 long grain rice (2 servings)
1/2 large of red onions
1 tablespoon of margarine
1/2 teaspoon of chili powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt
Leaves š of lettuce š„¬
2 tablespoons of black soy sauce
STEPS TO PREPARATION:
Step 1.
To attend to the onion and lettuce š„¬, I will first clean, wash and slice the red onions thinly.
As here above.
Then will thoroughly wash the lettuce, sterilize and slice it too.
And the two ingredients are readily here.
Once it boils I will add some salt and leave it to cook to tender a bit.
Step 3.
Will sieve the rice here, keeping it readily.
Step 4.
Will heat and melt the margarine here, adding the chopped onion
Stir and fry to tender and crispy
And here will add the black soy sauce ,
stir to incorporate into the onion as it fries.
Added the fluffy half way cooked rice here and stir gently to incorporate.
Step 6.
And will add the chili powder here.
And the lettuce š„¬ I will also add here.
Will stir gently to properly incorporate all.
Step 7.
Lower heat and allow for few seconds, then set it down and serve hot.
A whole vegan delicacy that takes just little time and few ingredients, giving us the best result. And to enjoy this meal really well, we need to cook the rice thoroughly so the moisture evaporates and the surface of the rice crisps up.
Using very stale rice will make us achieve a great texture quickly while fresher rice might take a bit longer to fry for a desired texture. You need to try this meal š„for family lunch or dinner š„. Donāt fail to add it to your kitchen roaster friends.
