The village Achterveld in the snow

As some of you may know for a year know i bring my wife to work and pick her up again , she is working in this small village called Achterveld here in Holland.

Everytime I drive her i bring my camaera equipment and try to make some photos of the area , last Tuesday i brought my Sony camera A7IV and the Sony 24-105 F 4.0 G OSS lens to make some winter scenery photos of the village Achterveld.

Today the tempertures already went above the 0 degrees Ceclius so the snow started to melt , the weather forcast is saying there might come more but you can't rely on those people.

So we will see tommorow what the weather does or doesn't until then here are some snow photos from earlier this week .

1 ) The church with snow on the roof looks like a completly different building , usually it has teracota colored roof tiles.

2 ) The benches underneath the old horse chestnut tree, now have soft white pillows of snow on it .

3 ) That is the old horse chestnut tree with it's top branches in the late afternoon sun light.

4 ) Even the weeping willow tree and the old street lantern have something of a sugar coating of snow .

5 )I hope the pine tree can handle the extra weight of the snow , all the branches hanging downwards. The local pub in the background doesn't seem to have many customers now with all that snow on the streets.

7 ) Almost time for sunset, the sun is getting lower and lower.

8 ) Good thing they cleaned most of the main roads from snow, otherwisee it would be very risky to drive all the way here.

9 ) The weeping willow from a different angle , the pond underneath it was not completly frozen yet.

10 ) Noisy neighbours in the trees , you can see them sitting on the branches , people are trying to feed the little birds like sparrows and tits but you always get these noise makers Western jackdaw to ruin the party for the little birds.
