My fiancee and I are @StrayLoveFound, we started a non-profit this year to rescue stray dogs and we're almost at 100 pups for the year, we do some local cases around New England but mainly we rescue and home the Satos of Puerto Rico.
We're just starting out but we'd like to eventually run our non-profit entirely transparently and autonomously on the blockchain. Obviously it's easier said than done but I think a non-profit DAO is the only way to sustainably do this work and to make it's impact go beyond just us.
We started this work after we fostered our first Sato "Patricio" or "Patty" and felt like we had to do more since he is just such a perfect creation... (this is how I talk...)

Both our Boys were abused in PR and they had a lot of healing to do, Nightwing was living behind a bar where people threw bottles at him and shot him with pellets and bbs which still are stuck in him to this day, and Patty was tethered to a pole which he eventually broke free from but he grew around his collar which had to be surgically removed.
We've been actually paying to promote our FB posts to help us find homes for our pups but we both think their model is just too expensive, not to mention the fees we have to pay just to accept donations even as a non-profit.
We hope to make Steemit and D-tube our new home and we hope to grow our mission exponentially with this amazing platform.
