Yesterday I went out to pay some house taxes and run some other errands. I was out for about three hours and on my way home, I stopped by the vet to buy a stuffed animal for my little dog. The one she had was badly damaged after more than a year of use, which I thought was unbelievable. I wanted her to have a new one, so I asked around and, according to Angie (the sales lady), there was only one left available.
It was a toy teat. At first I didn't really like it, but when I pressed it and it rattled, I remembered how much Shakira loves those kinds of toys. So I decided to take it to her.

Ayer salí a pagar unos impuestos de la casa y hacer otras diligencias. Estuve fuera unas tres horas y, cuando iba llegando a casa, pasé por la veterinaria para comprarle un peluche a mi perrita. El que tenía estaba muy dañado después de más de un año de uso, lo cual me parecía increíble. Quería que tuviera uno nuevo, así que pregunté y, según Angie (la vendedora), solo quedaba uno disponible.
Era un tetero de juguete. Al principio no me gustó mucho, pero cuando lo presioné y sonó, recordé cuánto le encanta a Shakira ese tipo de juguetes. Así que decidí llevárselo.

She immediately laid down next to it, put a paw on it and went to sleep.

Lo que más me sorprendió fue que pasó todo el día con su nuevo juguete.
