Me parece un método muy efectivo, especialmente en estos días de mucho sol y calor. Espero poder aprovechar al máximo este método, ya que lo usaré para una planta de suculenta que, la verdad, se me olvidó un poco regarla y casi se muere. No pensé que se secaría tan rápido, y ya puedo ver que el calor está muy fuerte. Así que, antes de que se muera, voy a volver a cultivarla, pero utilizando este nuevo método. Espero tener mejores resultados y poder recuperar la planta.

I think it is a very effective method, especially in these days of much sun and heat. I hope to be able to make the most of this method, since I will use it for a succulent plant that, to be honest, I forgot to water a little and it almost died. I didn't think it would dry out so quickly, and I can already see that the heat is very strong. So, before it dies, I am going to grow it again, but using this new method. I hope to have better results and to be able to recover the plant.
Cabe mencionar que los vasos de auto-riego permiten que las plantas absorban solo la cantidad de agua que necesitan. Esto reduce el desperdicio, ya que no se riega en exceso.Al tener el agua almacenada en un depósito, se minimiza la exposición al aire, lo que reduce la evaporación. First, I washed the soda bottle thoroughly to make sure it was clean and free of debris. Then, I cut it in half. The bottom part I'll use as a water reservoir, and the top part will be where I'll place the succulent.
Decidí hacer dos pequeños agujeros en la tapa de la parte superior de la botella. A través de los agujeros, pasé un extremo del cordón de pabilo. Aseguré que una parte del cordón quedara dentro de la parte superior (donde estará la planta) y la otra parte en el depósito de agua.
I decided to make two small holes in the lid at the top of the bottle. Through the holes, I threaded one end of the wick cord. I made sure that one part of the cord was inside the top (where the plant will be) and the other part was in the water reservoir.

I inverted the top of the bottle (where the succulent will be) onto the bottom (the reservoir). I made sure the wick cord was in contact with the water in the reservoir. I filled the bottom of the bottle with water, making sure the wick cord was submerged in the water.
Coloqué mi planta suculenta en la parte superior de la botella. Aseguré que las raíces estuvieran bien posicionadas. Si es necesario, se puede usar un poco de tierra para estabilizarla, pero no es imprescindible.Ahora solo tengo que revisar el nivel de agua en el depósito y rellenarlo según sea necesario. I placed my succulent plant on top of the bottle. I made sure the roots were well positioned. If necessary, a little soil can be used to stabilize it, but it is not essential. Now I just need to check the water level in the reservoir and refill it as needed. I am excited to see how my succulent stays hydrated thanks to this self-watering system.

Y así quedó el vaso de auto-riego,quiero mencionar que al principio no se notará el efecto,pero ya después de una hora se podrá ver qué la tierra se humedece se puede apreciar que este método es una forma práctica y ecológica de cuidar de las plantas, y me ayuda a utilizar el agua de manera eficiente. Espero este método de riego les guste y que sigamos aprendiendo a utilizar materiales reciclados para una buena causa.
And this is how the self-watering glass turned out. I want to mention that at first you won't notice the effect, but after an hour you will be able to see that the soil is moistened. You can see that this method is a practical and ecological way of taking care of the plants, and it helps me to use water efficiently.
