The Path To Financial Freedom Comes Through Budgeting

Without a budget, it's mathematically certain that our money just… disappears. And once we learn how to budget properly, you'll see that we can find at least €100 per month for investments. And yes, from those €100, we can start building our financial freedom.
Let’s break it down together.

THE BEGINNING
What is budgeting? Essentially, it’s the process of recording our income and expenses over a specific period (e.g., each month). And of course, we do this to get a clear picture of what we’re spending and what we have left over so that we can cut down on unnecessary expenses.
In short… Just like a good shepherd knows every single one of their sheep inside and out, we should know exactly where every euro that enters and leaves our pocket is going.
And that only happens with a proper budget. Not with guesses. Not with “eh, I more or less know.” ONLY with budgeting.
Trust me, when you do it, you’ll be shocked at where your money is actually going!
Oh, and before we move on, one more thing. If our money doesn’t have a clear purpose, it will end up in the wrong place.
WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE HATE IT?
Before we see how easy it is to find that €100 per month, let’s talk about why most people don’t even want to hear the word "budget." There are five main reasons—and they’re all wrong!
  1. It feels restrictive
Many people feel like budgeting ties their hands, that it limits their life.
Wrong! A proper budget doesn’t tell us what we CAN’T do. It shows us how to do what we REALLY WANT to do—without guilt and without stress.
  1. No vision
No vision? No reason to budget. What’s the point of making a financial plan if we don’t know where we want to go?
As we said earlier, our money needs a clear purpose. Do we want to pay off credit cards? Save for a down payment on a house? Invest and achieve financial independence?
This vision is what gives budgeting meaning. Without a vision, budgeting feels like punishment. With a vision, it becomes a tool for freedom.
  1. The truth is scary
Budgeting forces us to face the numbers head-on. And guess what? Many people don’t want to know.
They don’t want to see that they’re spending 30% of their salary on takeout or, even worse, on gambling. They don’t want to see that they’re running out of money every month because they waste it on meaningless things.
But what can we do, folks? Only when we face the truth can we change it. Ignoring the problem helps no one.
  1. “I don’t need it, I have money.”
Then there are those who say, “I have extra money left over each month, why do I need a budget?”
Wrong again. Because without a plan, today’s surplus can quickly become tomorrow’s shortfall. And to look at the positive side—if we have €100 left over now, why not aim to save €200?
  1. “It doesn’t work for me.”
And finally, many people have tried budgeting once or twice, found it complicated or difficult, and gave up. The classic excuse: “It doesn’t work for me.”
The truth? Budgeting isn’t the problem. The system we choose is. EVERYONE can budget! We just need to tailor it to our own needs.
Example.
If you had started investing $100 in BTC every month from January 2020 to January 2025, consistently buying on the 1st of each month, you would have accumulated 0.259810 BTC with a total capital investment of $6,100.At today's price, your investment would be worth $22,413, achieving almost a 4x return—all without the stress of trading or market timing. So the path to financial freedom in my opinion is by Budgeting then Saving and the Investing consistently .
