Tanak leads WRC Rally Portugal 2025 after first full day of competition

Hi, friends!
Finally some good news for Hyundai team after they were beaten heavily at WRC Rally Islas de Canarias a few weeks before. It seems that gravel is a surface which suits better their i20 Rally1 machinery.
Two of Hyundai cars were battling for the lead - Ott Tanak and Adrien Fourmaux but Fourmaux had to stop because of broken suspension. That was a hard fail for him because he was pushing really hard when there was finally a chance for the first potential win. But that's rallying which is mechanical sport, after all.
Toyota drivers ar again in great shape with Seb Ogier 2nd overall with just 7s behind Tanak. Takamoto Katsuta and Kalle Rovanpera holds 3rd and 4th place overall with just 1s between them.
Current champion Thierry Neuville is 4th with half a minute gap behind a leader. The rally is still in first half and anything can happen.
Let the best win - as always...
