Good morning everyone,
Trust you're having a great day...
Fighting has never been the long lasting solution to any problem on earth, rather it ends up creating a vicious cycle that keeps the younger generations fighting for a long period of time.
Mr. A kills the parents of child B and child B automatically makes killing Mr. A his life ambition and when this is actualised, Mr. A's grandchildren automatically makes kills the offsprings of Child B their life ambition and the cycle continues.
People also don't always fight because of the impact it leaves on the country.... An ongoing fight steals away the peace of mind of the entire citizen and they literally live all their lives in fear trembling and thinking of the day the war will get to their end, it halts businesses and reduces drastically the progress of the country at large.
That being said, the idea of using Artificial intelligence and Robots for our fights is really a good one especially in the sense of offering us a safe passage to saving our lives at the very least with fewer families shattered by loss of loved ones, and fewer young lives cut short on distant battlefields but when will the war end? Does these machines automatically make war safer to engage in?
While robotic warfare sounds more like an advancement , having technology preserve human lives, I think we need to answer a single question that comes with it...
Is War actually a technical problem that needs technological advancements?
While it may immediately be answered as YES, the answer is still NO.
War stems out from the various political acts and greeds of men in power. The only thing that holds our leaders from waging war at the slightest provocation remains the consequences that are possible from the war and when these drops significantly as a result of using robotic warfares, wars could become easier to start as it becomes less personal to them.
While humans need rest, robotic warfares will need upgrade and maintenance forcing the government to divert the greater percentage of the country's earning to that cause. Engineers and Programmers enters an unending quest of technological competition fueled not by innovative minds but urgent necessity if geopolitical rivalry.
Indeed, the true danger lies not in the technology itself, but in how humanity chooses to deploy it.
The coming of AI and Robots could be used for something better and interesting, helping us solve our other more pressing needs while we employ dialogue in solving the that may lead to wars.
In summary, a world where robotic warfares fight in place of humans will definitely in my opinion open up an unending war zone not because machines love fighting but because humans who controls the Machines may find it easier to trigger wars even from the slightest provocations because they no longer bleed and they no longer have to carry on the weight of causing a family the pain that comes with the loss of their loved ones.
The real question isn't about how wars are fought, it remains why do we fight wars in the first place?
Thanks for reading and have a nice day ahead
