**Numeros ordinales

Here is a short and simple review for Números ordinales:
Step 1: Memorize the "Top 10"
In Spanish, you will use the ordinal numbers from 1st to 10th all the time (for building floors, grades in school, and race results). Beyond 10th, native speakers often just use standard numbers (cardinal numbers).
Here is the base list:
1st: Primero
2nd: Segundo (Think: Second)
3rd: Tercero (Think: Tertiary)
4th: Cuarto (Think: Quarter)
5th: Quinto (Think: Quintuplets)
6th: Sexto (Think: Sextet)
7th: Séptimo (Think: September - originally the 7th month!)
8th: Octavo (Think: Octagon or October)
9th: Noveno (Think: November)
10th: Décimo (Think: Decimal or December)
Didactic Tip: Notice how 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th look exactly like the English months September, October, November, and December? That's because those months were originally the 7th, 8th, 9th, and 10th months of the early Roman calendar!

In this slide you can practice to translate to Spanish these sentences. In next post we can share the answers!

That's all for now!
