This And That

There is a clear difference between humility and meekness.

Being humble entails being able to see yourself as the rest of the people no matter who you are, what you have and where you are from.

It is when you see that everyone is the same and you actually have at the back of your mind that you need the other person. It is when you listen to people and take their advice or suggestions. If a person feels that no one has the right to talk to him, then he is proud. When you think that your opinion should be all in all, then you are proud. When you want to be heard every time because of what you possess, then you are proud.

It is very important that you know that pride comes before a pitfall, and the higher the pride, the harder the fall. When you are proud, people will go very far from you, and the only people that would be close to you may not be real people because they may just be there because of what you have, and whenever those things are not there again, they will all leave.

While meekness is when you have the opportunity to maybe punish or react, but you keep calm and let go. So many people may be humble but not meek, maybe because they do not know how to forgive, or maybe they are reacting based on what happened to them before. If one is unforgiving, then that person is not meek. People who are not meek are always very predictable because you will know their next line of action; they will really do a thing so as to show people that they actually do that particular thing. When you seek attention from everyone around, it means that you are not meek. When you want to be heard at all times, then you are not meek.

It is important to know that these two can go hand in hand, but they are the same, and it is good that we possess these two.
