I am back to growing cannabis indoors, during the winter I can usually get one.. maybe two grows in before its back to growing outdoors when the weather is good. I started these seeds twenty days ago, and they are now showing signs of roots coming out of the bottom of their little starting pots. So I am going to transplant them into seven gallon cloth pots. From there they will live in those pots throughout the remainder of their life.

In previous grows, I would just start the seed in the grow tent in the seven gallon pots. But I feel like its a waste of effort keeping them going when they are that small. I have to refill their humidifier daily, and the light is quite powerful in the tent even when dimmed. So I decided to start them in little pots under smaller lights. And then transplant them once they outgrow those pots.

Asian Lady Beetles are hanging out on the leaves, good to have them. Will help to keep the plants pest free. They eat aphids, mites and other bad bugs for cannabis plants. They will even eat gnats!

Getting my new tent all set up for those four little plants, I got a new light and some other new hardware for this grow.

I now have wireless radio sensors in the pots, they measure soil moisture and temperature. I can easily view their stats right from Home Assistant, an IOT app that you can add all kinds of sensors into.

Plant number one is the biggest of the bunch so far.

Plant number two has some big leaves.

Plant number three got a little upset from too much light in the beginning. But after dimming the light and raising it seems much more happy.

Plant number four is just chilling, not big but not small. We can see the soil temperature probe to the left and the soil moisture probe to the right.

I have moved away from using HID lighting and now using LEDs. It is a Vivosun VSFD6500 650W LED light bar.

Also trying out some grow bags, they are filled with mushroom mycelium that off gasses C02.

I have some sensors in the tent sensing the levels, but I need to work on my fan controllers to maximize the carbon dioxide levels.

Gave them a nice misting before closing up the tent. For now I just need to make sure they get just enough light and moisture to grow. Hopefully soon they will adjust to their new pots and get much bigger. These are photo period seeds so I can grow them until I am ready to flower them. Thinking about a month, but we shall see.
Added to this grow:
New lighting
New grow tent
Soil moisture sensors
Soil temperature sensors
C02 grow bag
Saucers for the 7 gallon pots to retain water
Hoping with my new technology such as the moisture sensors, additions of C02 and lots of light. I can maximize my grow this year. As judging when to water the plants by picking up the pots is quite crude. And having sensors is probably going to help a lot to keep their watering needs all dialed in.
