Small Talk
Oh, man. This drawing took so much longer than I expected. I were doing really well on the first day to be immediately be stranded on day two and it extended to day four.
I really thought I could take on these three fur balls thinking their color combinations are easy and it wouldn't take me a long time to finish it but expectations are really different from reality.
Before I forgot, let me just quickly give my appreciation to whoever named Eternal Tofu. Having a cat named, Tofu, Miso, and Nori is very cute. One issue I have is why is in the lore, Miso is grey while Nori is white?
Drawing Process
Step 0 - Concept Making
In the lore, there are a number of hints I can use to make it better. It was said that these cats are Tabby, which is a cat breed. But seeing Miso, the one on the left, it felt more like a Siberian than a Tabby is the correct choice.

I also sticked with their genders. While the lore didn't give hints for Tofu, I made him a male due to his build. Miso would be a girl. In the lore, this is what it says, "Miso, a grey cat whose loyalty to HER friends is surpassed only by HER affection for food." Nori's gender wasn't also mentioned but he/she is a kitten so let's just make him/her a kid. No gender needed.
I added the gender not to be political but because I needed them for the body structure.
I wanted it to be quite unique so instead of being faithful to the original Eternal Tofu, I wanted them to become bipedal. The one that really attracted me is how proud the three looks in the original drawing so, I had this idea to make them like runway models.
Step 1 - Guide and Lineart

Sticking with the rough guide, I start to build the line art. Here's a better view of the line art without the guide lines.
Step 2 - Nori

I started with the easiest one. Nori was easiest although she wasn't easy. She also reminded me of my aunt's cat which has a blot on the face so I added that as close as possible.
Step 3 - Miso

Next will be the sexy Miso. The fur on the neck should've been connected to the head but I decided to make it look like a scarf. It worked because like the original, the neck fur and the fur on other areas are different. The body shape was tricky though as I want her to be sexy and on her legs but I don't want her to look too human at the same time.
Step 4 - Tofu

Lastly, we have the main character, Eternal Tofu. I separated the cube and the main character because the cube will be complicated with all that lightning effects.

Tofu in itself was pretty simple and I like how he looked exactly like how I imagined him to be.
The next step is the cube where his master, Demise Archon Faust, preserved his soul.

This was very complicated for me as I don't usually do these kinds of effect but It was pretty convincing so I am happy with that. I could've made the line art thinner so that the details would be shown better.
Here's the full image without the guide lines.

Step 5 - Background

Now for the background, like I said in the beginning, I want it to be a cat walk. I looked at some samples online for an easy one because I am really bad at backgrounds and this is what I came up with after combining some ideas.
One thing I would add is the lights. I forgot when and where I saw this made, maybe on some random tiktok videos but it turned out awesome. I am very proud of this one, just like how proud I am on the broken mirror effect on my
Endless Gibbons post.
To do this, I made a triangular shape first, sealed outboth the endings to make it like a box. Use the wand tool to select that triangular template you just made and on another layer, use the Gradient tool to produce the light. Adjust the blending and transparency to make it look better.
Do that a few more times for each light (and two more out of frame) and you can get a really convincing stage.
