It's a pleasure to be able to come here and share a little of our experience here at Bless Skateshop these past few days!
The rain has let up here and we've been able to skate more with friends and work more comfortably at the shop.
It is nice doing a trick that moves the board but where you don't really have to worry about landing primo as much as a flip trick. It is finally starting to look like spring is just around the corner so I hope to get back and film some new clips soon - ✌️.
Last couple of months I have been filming some clips for a very especial project which is BEATS2(premiering 05/02) the second part of BEATS an Anti-Horário production, one of the most important skate videos of the late 2000’s here in Brasil. That one video is one of the first Brazilian skate videos that I’ve watched and truely remarkable for me.
I skated the santo amaro skatepark a week before it officially opened. This night was the official inauguratory celebration for the skatepark, the skate scene, and the santo amaro favela people. We returned to the favela to witness the christening of the new park.
Yesterday I hit up the local skatepark and it felt fucking good to finally skate outside again! Started off cruising around, and before I knew it, I was already stacking clips at the bump-to-curb spot.
How can we talk about an essence that overflows with movement and becomes a legacy? How can we put into words the impact of living a culture that pulses, that unites generations and transforms existence? Difficult, but this attempt is sincere... and the photos are by Tio Verde. 🤩💚
