I have been dragged kicking and screaming into this community by a friend who insists that I write some stuff about what I do.
What I do, and the usefulness of it, is widely debated by academics all over the globe. I, for one, consider myself to be a programmer. I've mostly worked on web projects, but am stretching out onto the android platform as I write this.
You can find my work (maybe) on the Google Play Store under the developer name Simply Useful. So far my exploits range from creating a note-keeping application called 'Notes' (I know, the originality is overwhelming) to fixing the bugs in said note-keeping application. Most of the ideas I have are based on older programs and standards. For example, my notes application is based on the TODO.txt standard, which has been around for a while. I really enjoy small, modular programs which do only one thing and which do them well.
Anyways, that's me, just trying to be simply useful.
