US Silver Corporation (USSC) was the name used by a number of businesses in the precious metals sector. States like Pennsylvania, Idaho, and Texas were home bases for these businesses. 

That being said, none of these companies were in existence when the United States Silver Corporation bars and rounds were coined in the early to mid-1970s. 

United States Silver Corporation, a California company headquartered in Van Nuys, was the manufacturer of this silver round. Renamed as Continental Coin Corporation in 1978, this corporation was first established in 1958.

An eagle in flight, facing right, is depicted on the obverse. There are ivy sprigs all around it underneath.  Along the outside edge, beginning at nine o'clock, are the four words that make up the corporation name, "UNITED STATES SILVER CORPORATION."  The corporation was founded in 1958, and the date of founding is located beneath the term "STATES".

The reverse has a map of the globe with ivy sprigs on the left and right. This is the main feature.  Large letters "WORLD TRADE" and "AND COMMERCE" are inscribed at the top and bottom of the circle.  You may find the weight of the round "ONE TROY OUNCE/31.1 GRAMS-480 GRAINS" behind the upper inscription.  The quality of ".999+ PURE SILVER" and the year 1974 are written above the lower text.

The company produced a range of goods while it was known as USSC, the most of which were in silver with at least one bar made of platinum. The majority of the silver were larger 5 oz and 100 oz poured bars and smaller 1 oz art bars. 

It is known fact that very few rounds were made. Two known reverses—one with a map of the world, the other with a map of North America—and two known obverses—both of which feature eagles. Only one of the obverses has the 1974-dated reverse with the world map on it. You can find the map from North America with both obverses. Each and every round were manufactured from.999 fine silver.

This silver round is uncommon.

Saving money is insufficient during these difficult times. Even if you set money aside in an account for savings, it will remain there and lose value until you actually need it. This is what inflation causes. Buying precious metals is for me one of the best ways to protect my money against inflation.
