Small Sweet Things

Hello Draw A Day community and friends,

Today’s prompt for Elftober is Candy Stash.

I imagined a small elf walking from village to village with a big sack on his back. It’s filled with lots of candies, ribbons, and a few small secret stash too. He trades them for a nice chit chat and fun stories and also gives them to whoever might need a sugar rush.

While I was drawing, I was thinking that maybe the elf keeps the candies for energy during long walks like a small treat when the road is long and the walk is boring. Or maybe he shares them with children he meets, so the journey is memorable and fun for an experience.

The colors in this drawing are soft and warm. I wanted it to look like something from an old storybook, or that kind you see on a chocolate box. Not perfect, but full of life and warmth.

Sometimes I draw to keep a thought alive like a small act of kindness to someone. Not the loud kind, but the quiet one that fits in small hands. Maybe this elf carries that with him.
