Imagine a world without internet, phones, laptops and other ICT gadgets, I can't just imagine how weird it will be, not even for someone like me that can't do without my phone, I find it very easy to make research using the internet rather than going to libraries to get information about a particular thing I want to learn. I remember back then in school, of course I do study but not used to libraries, that space is just very boring to me, especially with their rules and regulations, most times when I go, I just go there to sleep, study time will later become sleeping time. When I realized it was not my thing, I just had to quit and continue studying at home as I've always done. I'm not even the type that loves group reading back then, whenever my friends organize one, and I finally force myself to attend, I might be the one interrupting them most times, making them unable to focus.
I've learnt quite a number of things especially on Google and YouTube, on Google what I've learnt is countless, like I've lost count already, I visit the the search engine every now and then, and now we even have artificial intelligence, the boss of bosses lol... I was chati with one of my tech guys yesterday and he was telling me AI now helps to debug codes, naturally debugging codes takes times and now there's a tool that can help do all the debugging in a short period of time. I'm still yet to confirm that information though bit I believe it's very possible, because AI is taking over already. On YouTube as well, I've learnt some couple of things, there was a time I was learning tailoring, I learnt many things even the ones my boss couldn't cover for me.
Nevertheless I think we're depending too much on technology and it's killing us gradually, funny enough some people have access to this source of getting knowledge and information but are misusing it. While some people are making money via social media, some are learning and some are wasting their time. Even me, I'm that kind of person
that cant do without my phone, its always glued with me. It's very hard for me to do without it for a long time, if the internet could go off for long, it's a problem for me, it will be as if the world wants to end, thats the work of addiction.
Moreover, it's not so back in the days, they go extra mile before the could get access to information not like now that almost everything is at our fingertips.
I could remember a particular day that there was a glitch in the network for a specific period, it seems the world would end for me because of my too much dependency on gadgets. To say the fact, the advantage we have in this era is enormous, we should know better but reverse is the case.
Sending and receiving information or messages was a very big deal back then, they have to go through a very long process before they could do that, but now within a very short time we get access to this things, our era should be better but it's otherwise.
I can't just imagine the stress our great scientist went through before inventing all of those things they invented, I believe it was very rough because they've to go a very long route before they get what they gathered.
Most of them did not have access to Internet in their time yet, they did exploits that we the recent generation are benefiting from now.
Meanwhile, I think those that are making good use of technology, I mean this era should be smarter because we obviously have more access to information and where we could acquire knowledge.
