Historical incidents took place on 29th June.

  1. On same date in 2007 Apple iPhones went on sale in stores for the first time as people lined up and waited outside shops for days. The long anticipated phone featured a touch-screen with no keyboard, wi-fi access, a camera, and the ability to browse the web.

  2. ISRO launched communications satellite GSAT-17 from French Guiana in 2017

  3. Germany invaded Russia in 1941.

  4. The US Supreme Court rules that President George W. Bush's plan to try Guantanamo Bay detainees in military tribunals violated U.S. and international law.

  5. New Zealand sent 24 engineers to Vietnam for supporting America

  6. The court in San Francisco, California lifted the ban on gay marriage that had been imposed in 2008

  7. 502 people died and more than 900 were injured in in Seoul, South Korea when The Sampoong department store collapsed due to poor construction.

  8. Bernard Madoff, was sentenced to one hundred and fifty years in prison for stealing sixty-five billion dollars from investors in 2009.

  9. The House of Representatives passed sanctions against the People's Republic of China focused on economic and trade relations with them.

  10. Actress Doris Singleton died at the age of ninety-two in 2012.
