Hello besties, it's a new month again, happy new month, also welcome to the month of love, trust you had a great week last month. Well, I was to drop this post yesterday morning, but a lot happened, frist my laptop was giving me issues, it went blank, and I was so scared of the laptop spoiling, also knowing that yesterday, which was saturday was going to be a long day for me i wanted to type out my post on Friday night to schedule for Saturday morning. Well, I don’t have too much to say. I just want to share how my day went on Friday (Jan 30th, 2026).
Now tell me, when you see this picture, what comes to your mind? Let me guess, you think I'm going to a wedding, church, an event, or something. But then I'm actually off to work as a teacher, and it’s our cultural dayyyyy
Okay so it our cultural day where everyone wears their cultural attire to represent their tribes, also bring their cultural food, such as( Amala and Ewedu for the Yorubas, Tuwo shikafa for the Hausas, Banga and starch for the Igbos), they also do presentations in their culture such as( dance, drama, pageantry and many more fun things) and its always colorful and memorable.
My students wear 'different attire, and they were all looking so cute and so happy.
well except for one of my baby boys, who didn’t wear anything cultural, but his sports wear, so I asked him what happened. His mum is not at her that’s why his not dressed in his attire. So, I asked him where did she go to? he then said shes in the hospital, so I further asked him what she was doing at the hospital he couldn’t talk but he had a sad countenance so I asked his elder brother, then he told me his mum just gave birth, there was this relief in my heart, because the look on the younger brothers face was giving something went wrong, but what actually went wrong on his part his that he his no longer the baby of the house since there is a new baby. Kids can be so petty.
The day was fun-filled, and I enjoyed the time spent so far. I was just taking pictures for memory's sake.
