Anime is a genre of the television industry that has come to stay.
It's so different when in the last decade it was only a few people in a school of 100 that knew about anime in the western and down south where I am. Yet now some schools in my country even have anime clubs.. It's so surreal...
I feel that the main cause was the fact that anime became mainstream and then streaming services that were popular down here started taking some of them...
Some like Netflix went a step further and started making their own shows...
...And that's how we got a gem like Castlevania...
Castlevania
Plot
The early Christians and church have become too conceited, humans too numerous and due to their fears and easily swayed minds they've become too ignorant.
Dracula Vlad Tepes, leader of the Vampires is a scholar, magician and scientist who lives isolated in a moving castle. When he meets Lisa, a human, and made her his wife, she made him try to look at humans in a different light, try to be with them, understand them.
He followed her advice and this wasn't able to protect her when the humans stormed his home and burned his wife Lisa at the stake under accusations of witchcraft.
Enraged, Dracula raises hell to start a mass genocide of the human race and now it's up to his son Alucard, the hunter Trevor Belmont and the mage Sipha to stop his rampage and send hell's creatures back to whence they came.
This is quite an old anime, yet I'm just watching it now.
Its old enough to have a side story which fans are all saying is "incredible" and "stupendous" but I don't think I'll watch it.
In my years of watching anime and movie shows I'm general, I have a strict rule of not following the crowds advice when watching a show.
Six out of ten times, when like everybody is saying a show is good, to me, it usually isn't...
Yet the hype about the slideshow Nocturne did make me interested in the original series.

And Lord am I glad I started it when I did.

The show is a straight 9 out of 10. There's so many things good about it that at this point I can just say that the whole show is good.

First of all we have the plot. A mixture of action, romance, politics, and some religious themes gives us this mix match Assassins Creed X Game of Thrones type of show that just keeps you glued to your screens till it finishes.

Then we get to talk with the characters. We have the broody Belmont, the aloof Alucard and the poppy a little bit crazy Sipha. A wonderful mixture of characters to keep the dialogue as naturally funny as possible.
The exchange of witty remarks and friendly to not so friendly banter keeps the dialogue interesting then the way the characters just find a way to let yourself into you makes you love them even more.

Next thing we need to talk about is the animation.
Netflix overdid themselves. Well they have had some amazing shows lately but it won't make me easily forget what they did when the first started with Seven Deadly Sins😭

Regardless this shows animations were something else!!!
The fight scenes slick and clean, then the effects where unbelievable.
If you're a lover of the vampire genre, I totally recommend Castlevania✨
