Hello, home solutions community. I am very happy to participate in this initiative thanks to the invitation from my cousin @alenicoa. I want to tell you about how we celebrate Christmas at my house.
Desde que soy chiquito, en mi casa siempre se ha armado el arbolito de Navidad, un nacimiento y se han puesto muchos adornos. A mi mamá @floreudys79 le gusta decorar, aunque últimamente pone menos cosas ya que no le da mucho tiempo de poner todo. Cuando yo era niño la ayudaba a ponerlo y hasta lo decoraba con ella. Ahora quien la ayuda más es mi hermana, pero yo sigo siendo el que busca las cajas en el depósito y lo arma todos los años. Este año fue especial porque vi que mi mamá colgó unos adornos que hice yo el año pasado en clases de orientación. Aunque a mí me parece que no quedaron tan bonitos, ella dice que le encanta porque los hice con mis propias manos jajajaja.
Ever since I was little, we have always put up a Christmas tree, a nativity scene, and lots of decorations in my house. My mom @floreudys79 likes to decorate, although lately she puts up fewer things because she doesn't have much time to put everything up. When I was a kid, I used to help her put it up and even decorate it with her. Now my sister helps her the most, but I'm still the one who finds the boxes in the storage room and puts it all together every year. This year was special because I saw that my mom hung some decorations that I made last year in orientation class. Although I don't think they turned out that pretty, she says she loves them because I made them with my own hands, ha ha ha.
También le ayudé a poner una guirnalda en la cocina, que es algo que hacemos todos los años. Todavía faltan algunas cosas por decorar, pero como ya estamos de vacaciones y más tranquilos en casa, seguro mi mamá las termina en estos días.
I also helped her put up a garland in the kitchen, which is something we do every year. There are still a few things left to decorate, but since we're on vacation and have more time at home, I'm sure my mom will finish them in the next few days.
Lo que más me gusta de la Navidad es que nos reunimos toda la familia y casi siempre vienen mis primos de Caracas, como @alenicoa y Samuel y en casa de mi abuela nos reunimos siempre. También está mi otra abuela, mis tíos, mis tías y mis abuelos maternos. Antes éramos más, pero mi tío se fue a Perú, pero igual la pasamos muy bien.
What I like most about Christmas is that the whole family gets together, and my cousins from Caracas, like @alenicoa and Samuel, almost always come. We always meet at my grandmother's house. My other grandmother, my uncles, my aunts, and my maternal grandparents are also there. There used to be more of us, but my uncle moved to Peru. Still, we have a great time.
Mi mamá y mi tía decoran la mesa y ahí comemos todos juntos. Prendemos fosforitos, jugamos, reímos, ponemos música alta y disfrutamos mucho. Es un momento muy especial porque estamos todos unidos, tenemos muchas fotos de años anteriores. Mi papá hace el pernil, mi mamá prepara la ensalada de gallina y los dulces, mi papá compra pan de jamón, hallacas y bebidas, luego servimos la comida y nos sentamos todos a la mesa a cenar.
My mom and aunt decorate the table, and we all eat together. We light sparklers, play games, laugh, play loud music, and have a great time. It's a very special moment because we're all together. We have lots of photos from previous years. My dad makes the ham, my mom prepares the chicken salad and desserts, my dad buys ham bread, hallacas, and drinks, then we serve the food and we all sit down at the table to eat dinner.
Es muy bonito ver cómo se llena la casa de toda la familia y cómo todos colaboramos para que sea una fecha especial, hacemos intercambio de regalos y los más jóvenes recibimos muchos regalos esa parte también es una de las mejores ya que casi siempre son cosas que pedimos con anticipación. Y bueno amigos espero que les guste mi post y aprovecho de invitar a @taniagonzalez, @matias2010 y @melan11e a que también compartan cómo viven la Navidad en sus hogares.
It's really nice to see the whole family gather together and how we all work together to make it a special day. We exchange gifts, and the younger ones receive lots of presents, which is also one of the best parts, as they're almost always things we've asked for in advance.
