Hey everyone, it's Hive open mic week 265! I'm
@sampraise77 and I'm excited to share my original song called “Through the Rain.” It's inspired by this week's community theme and talks about how rain can symbolize tough times in life.
The first stanza goes, “When the clouds roll in, and the skies are gray.” This sets the mood of feeling down and heavy, showing those moments when life gets hard and everything feels bleak. The line “I can feel the weight, like a price I gotta pay” really hits home because we all know how life’s challenges can feel like a burden we have to carry.
Then I get to the part where I say, “But I won't hide away, I won't let it drown me.” This is where the hopeful side of the song kicks in. It’s about making a choice to stand strong instead of running from problems. It's all about not letting hard times bring you down.
The chorus captures it perfectly: “Through the rain, I will carry on, each storm that passes makes me strong.” It’s a reminder that storms are just temporary, and they help us grow. When I say, “With every lightning flash, I find my way,” I’m using lightning to show that even during scary moments, we can find clarity.
And I finish strong with, “I’ll keep on dancing, through the rain.” Dancing is all about joy and freedom, even when it's pouring. It’s my way of saying that no matter how tough things get, we can still find ways to enjoy life and keep moving forward.
Lyrics
When the clouds roll in,
and the skies are gray,
I can feel the weight,
like a price | gotta pay.
But I won't hide away,
I won't let it drown me,
(Chorus)
Through the rain, I will carry on,
Each storm that passes, makes me strong.
With every lightning flash, I find my way,
I'll keep on dancing, through the rain.
