As I said , two friends one dream, let's make that dream happen. Thats what we were thinking, back in the day when Sailing Fun Fest was just an idea at the table of our local pub in Budapest. Big , I mean real big dream concidering Hungary has no sea, right ? :D Well it wasn't easy I tell you that, but as they say smooth sea never makes a skillfull sailor. Nevertheless we had a plan in mind and we were willing to give in everithig we got to make it come true.
The First Year
2015 the first year the first event. We spent nearly half a year to organise everything and it was killing us, it was nothing like we imagined :D What we thought was a few phone calls to friends maybe a few emails to rent the boats and thats it. Well hell no, reality is not even close to that. As it did turn out people love sailing and summer and the sea and having a party , that is when they watching it on tv. In real life however there is a price for it, and let me tell you this, renting a yacht for a week in the middle of the summer has its price too. At the same time it woth every penny because there are no words to describe the feeling, the freedom that you feel on the sea when all you hear is the wind flying by inbetween sour sails and a few seagulls the sun is warm and nice when you close your eyes you smell the lasty air and a single drop of water rolling down on your finger from your glass of drink. Thats the feeling you can not put a price on.
We realised that it will not be as easy as it looks like, but we did not give up and when the time came we were ready and more importantly very very optimistic :D In july 2015 we did it , we made Sailing Fun Fest and a life long dream come true.
