Twitter is going crazy again with the story that South Korean authorities “lost” another big batch of seized Bitcoin.
They supposedly showed evidence bags with USB drives containing seed phrases right in front of the media,and someone instantly drained 1742 BTC.
Reality check: The photos are real — they’re from a tax raid on February 26. But the wallets were already empty. The 1742 BTC number is from an older missing crypto case.
Classic case of real pictures + old numbers = viral fake story 😏
