Hi movie lovers;
Here I am with another interesting movie for you to enjoy. Well, I can't say enjoy as you will have to only have a read of a bit of it.
As I said last week, I am trying hard to rejuvenate my sense of watching movies frequently. If I can remember correctly I watched a couple of movies last week and I am yet to get my hands on an interesting movies this week.
As usual, TikTok did it’s thing last week and recommended a great Nigerian movie for me to watch. I saw bits of it on TikTok and after watching a few clips of it I decided to download it from net naija. As much as we are complaining about now the casting of Nigerian movies have taken a certain direction, some of the movies writers still strive to make their movies worth watching. And I think finding me is one of those movies which was directed by Funke Akindele and Osioma Osaje.
Finding me as the title depicts is a Nigerian movie which sheds light on a young man who will do anything for the woman he loves after finding out her mother is dealing with cancer. He foots every bill that is being sent his way by the woman as he doesn’t want the woman to loose her mom.

On the other side of the story a woman who comes from a rich home is dealing with emotional abuse from a husband which she loves so much. Things take a twist of fate when these two people meet as a gym instructor and a gym member.
Finding me was released in 2025 and was written by Samuel Adekanmi, Funke Akindele and Fatimah Binta Gimsay. Well, I wouldn’t say this story is a sophisticated one but at least there are a few plot twists here and there. If you haven’t seen parts of this movie online you’ll definitely enjoy watching it more than I did.
The problem with TikTok recommendations is that you get to see the interesting parts, parts which were suppose to shock you online and at the end of the day you only get to appreciate that movie but you don’t get the thrill you should have gotten.
One character that I loved absolutely was Ifeanyi (Emeka Nwagbaraocha), a lot of people might not recognize him by this name but if you watched far from home you’ll recognize him as the kid who was kidnapped.

In far from home he was portrayed as reserved a character but in this movie he was tasked with the role of a tyrant brother and he played it so well. Infact he was one of the reasons why I decided to watch this movie.
As much as I can remember I don’t think I didn’t like anything about this movie. The cast in this movie was filled with people who know what they are about so it was hard pointing out mistakes. I’ll go ahead and give this an 8/10 and that’s cause I don’t wanna exaggerate it for others.
As I said in the beginning I downloaded it from netnaija.
