Hello, friends of The Anime Realm! It’s a pleasure to be with you once again to share a personal review of one of the best anime of recent times, according to my opinion and those of many, it is Sōsō no Frieren.
Frieren the Slayer or Beyond Journey's End, as it is also known, is a manga and anime series of adventure, drama and fantasy genre written by the mangaka Kanehito Yamada with the extraordinary illustrations of Tsukasa Abe.
¡Hola, amigos de The Anime Realm! Un placer estar una vez más con ustedes para compartir una reseña personal de uno de los mejores animes de los últimos tiempos, según mi opinión y las de muchos, se trata de Sōsō no Frieren.
Frieren la Sepulturera o Mas allá del Final de Viaje, como también se le conoce, es una serie de manga y anime del género aventura, drama y fantasía escrita por el mangaka Kanehito Yamada con las extraordinarias ilustraciones de Tsukasa Abe.
The story is basically about the adventures of an elf named Frieren, who is set in what I understand would be a medieval era based in Germany or some Nordic country. This character has exceptional magical powers that she has developed over her approximately 1000 years of age. Frieren was a member of the renowned and lauded group of adventurers that defeated the Demon King and brought peace back to the region after ten years of fighting. That group consisted of Frieren, the hero Himmel, the dwarf Eisen and the priest Heiter.
La historia trata básicamente de las aventuras de una elfa llamada Frieren, que se encuentra en lo que entiendo sería una época medieval basada en Alemania o algún país nórdico. Este personaje tiene excepcionales poderes mágicos que ha desarrollado a lo largo de sus aproximadamente 1000 años de edad. Frieren fue miembro del reconocido y alabado grupo de aventureros que derrotó al Rey Demonio y devolvió la paz a la región luego de diez años de lucha. Ese grupo estaba compuesto por Frieren, el héroe Himmel, el enano Eisen y el sacerdote Heiter.
At the end of this adventurous journey the group takes different directions, but first they decide to see the meteor shower that occurs once every fifty years, Frieren then promises to return for the next celestial event, however, when she returns, she notices that her friends are already old and that one of them, Himmel, is in fact in his last days of life. This and other events make Frieren reflect that she should have taken the time to get to know her friends better and thus understand humans better, since their lifespan is very short. Thus, Frieren embarks on a new journey in search of knowledge and goals along with another group of young adventurers willing not only to travel the world in search of learning but also to face various challenges.
The soundtrack of this series is a point to highlight, since it has 2 spectacular openings by Yoasobi and Yorushika respectively, one for chapters 1 to 17 and another from 18 to 28 and a wonderful ending for the entire series by Milet, with style changes in the last cut.
Al final de ese viaje lleno de aventuras el grupo toma rumbos diferentes, pero antes deciden ver la lluvia de meteoritos que ocurre una vez cada cincuenta años, Frieren entonces promete regresar para ese próximo evento celestial, sin embargo, cuando regresa nota que sus amigos ya están entrados en edad y que uno de ellos, Himmel, está de hecho en sus últimos días de vida. Este y otros acontecimientos hacen a Frieren reflexionar que debió tomarse el tiempo para conocer más a sus amigos y así entender mejor a los humanos, ya que el tiempo de vida de estos es muy corto. De este modo, frieren emprende un nuevo viaje en busca de conocimientos y metas junto a otro grupo de jóvenes aventureros dispuestos no solo a recorrer el mundo en búsqueda de aprendizajes sino también a enfrentar diversos retos.
La banda sonora de esta serie es un punto a resaltar, ya que cuenta con 2 espectaculares openings a cargo de Yoasobi y Yorushika respectivamente, uno para los capítulos del 1 al 17 y otro del 18 al 28 y un maravilloso ending para toda la serie a cargo de Milet, con cambios de estilo en el ultimo corte.
According to critics, Frieren has been classified as a story that you either love it or hate it, and the fact of telling the story of how life is after the defeat of the main villain makes us wonder what the plot could offer, but let me tell you that those who dare to enter this world will not be disappointed, because the series is full of great lessons and reflections for life and very emotional events that many times as viewers we need. In addition, it is not for nothing that this anime has been awarded and nominated for several awards in the anime industry. It's definitely all about encouraging to watch it and overcome the initial chapters that could be a little slow for some, but after catching the wave that brings us this story, we will realize what a gem it is, at least that was my case.

Según la crítica, Frieren ha sido catalogada como una historia que bien, o la amas o la odias, y es que el hecho de contar la historia de cómo es la vida después de la derrota del principal villano nos hace preguntarnos qué podría ofrecer la trama, pero déjenme decirles que quienes se atreven a entrar en este mundo no quedarán defraudados, pues la serie esta llena de grandes aprendizajes y reflexiones para la vida y eventos muy emotivos que muchas veces como espectadores necesitamos. Además, no por nada este anime ha sido galardonado y nominado para varios premios en la industria del anime. Definitivamente todo se trata de animarse a verla y superar los capítulos iniciales que podrían resultar un tanto lentos para algunos, pero luego de captar la onda que nos trae esta historia nos daremos cuenta de la joya que es, por lo menos ese fue mi caso.
