It is a pleasure to greet you, dear Hive Open Mic community! We are already at the end of April and I wish you all a week full of abundant blessings. For week number 264 we find ourselves with the theme “Stronger”, a powerful premise that can serve us well to face life with the mentality of moving forward always trusting in our capabilities.
I believe that being strong or becoming stronger implies understanding the responsibility and constant mission of getting up by our own means in spite of difficulties, because, although the support and encouragement that others can offer us can be a relief, at the end of the day the decisions we make will be personal. I believe that when we are down, some elements such as motivation, self-esteem and self-determination are vital to overcome the ups and downs that we face every day.
For this edition I bring you a cover of “Unstoppable” by Australian pop singer Sia, as part of the album This Is Acting, released in 2016. Its lyrics speak precisely of someone who describes herself as a human being capable of anything, with the premise that nothing and no one can stop her, since her convictions and motivations to move forward victoriously go beyond any physical or emotional limitations. ¡Un placer saludarles, querida comunidad de Hive Open Mic! Ya nos encontramos a finales del mes de abril y deseo para todos ustedes una semana llena de abundantes bendiciones. Para la semana número 264 nos encontramos con la temática “Más Fuerte”, una poderosa premisa que nos puede servir mucho para afrontar la vida con la mentalidad de salir adelante confiando siempre en nuestras capacidades.
Considero que ser fuertes o hacernos más fuertes implica entender la responsabilidad y misión constante de levantarnos por nuestros propios medios a pesar de las dificultades, porque, aunque el apoyo y ánimo que los demás puedan ofrecernos llega a ser un alivio, al final de cuentas las decisiones que tomemos serán personales. Creo que cuando nos encontramos decaídos, algunos elementos como la motivación, la autoestima y la autodeterminación son vitales para lograr superar los altibajos que se nos presentan día a día.
Para esta edición les traigo un cover de “Unstoppable” (Imparable), de la cantante de pop australiana Sia, como parte del álbum This Is Acting, publicado en 2016.
