Coffee lover by conviction

From a very young age, I was used to drinking coffee. In Latin America, we grow up with the flavor and aroma of coffee. I remember that the first time I tasted it, it felt a little strange, although it was a coffee that was not so strong, as we say here.
I remember my grandmother was a coffee lover. She always had a cup of coffee and a cigarette. She said it was her delight. She was the one who, little by little, initiated me into this wonderful world. And I think that in the afterlife, she will be proud to have left in this world a coffee lover who will continue her legacy.
I can safely say that my beloved grandmother was my mentor when it came to coffee. She inherited her love of coffee and had a long-lasting relationship with the caffeine supplier. Her stories about coffee made me connect more with the beverage I love. Until the last day of her life, she had a cup of coffee by her side.
Coffee isn't just a beverage; it has deeper roots in the relationships between people and their environment, helping to strengthen bonds of friendship and affection with friends and family. There is no better companion than a cup of coffee for social gatherings.
These ideas solidified as I grew up, starting with my grandmother, parents, uncles, aunts, and other relatives. I could say that we established an almost supernatural intimate bond. I think I exaggerated a little with the last part, but let's say that it has a strong influence coming from a coffee family.

At this point in my life, age begins to mark the skin like a chisel on rock. Health begins to decline, excesses from a young age become our enemies, and restrictions appear in our lives. At this moment, I have had to reduce the regularity with which I drink coffee due to a series of affections that affect my body.
I should be thankful that I can still enjoy my delicious coffee without restriction but with care and a more moderate way of consuming it. I won't stop drinking my precious dark coffee because, like my grandmother, it has become a part of my life, and wherever I go, I order a cup of delicious coffee.
Those who know me know the type of drink I like, although there are times when I'm visiting that I have to have a different drink. You don't always get what you're looking for, haha. At the end of the day, it would not be how much coffee we consume but how it has become part of our lives. A pillar in our social construction from a very young age, as it was in my case, until adulthood.
I will always be grateful to my beautiful grandmother, who influenced me with her love of coffee and passed it on to me in those special moments. She will always be in my heart. We enjoyed a cup of coffee on those magical afternoons while stories of days gone by when my grandmother was also a young coffee lover flowed.
It seems I got carried away by the feeling of remembering my grandmother, haha. But it was necessary to bring her up as an explanation for this week's topic in our coffee group.

Coffee hugs!
