From Passion To Purpose

There was a young girl whose name was "Tina" who had a special gift, even though many people didn’t notice it at first. She was creative and smart, always finding ways to turn simple things into something beautiful. While other children played with their toys and moved on, Tina played differently. When she played, she imagined, designed, and created.

‎From a very young age, she loved anything that looked like hair. If she saw rope, thread, wool, or even small strings from old clothes, she would quickly pick them up and start plaiting them. She used her dolls most of the time, but when there were no dolls around, she tied ropes to chairs, pillows, or anything she could find just to practice braiding. To others, it looked like an ordinary child’s game. But to Tina, it meant so much more. It made her happy and gave her a sense of purpose.

‎People around her would laugh and say, “She’s just playing.” Some didn’t take her seriously at all. But Tina didn’t let that stop her. She kept practicing every day. She tried different styles and patterns, even though she didn’t have proper combs or hair products. She simply used what she had.

‎As she grew older, her skills became better and more noticeable. She paid close attention to the hairstyles of women in her neighborhood and tried to copy them in her own way. By the time she was 12, she felt brave enough to practice on her friends. The first time she braided her friend’s hair, she was nervous. Her hands shook a little, but she didn’t give up.

‎When she finished, everyone was surprised. The hair was neat and beautiful. Her friend couldn’t stop smiling at herself in the mirror. That moment made Tina believe in herself even more.
‎Her mother finally saw that this was not just a hobby. She began to support Tina, buying her better tools and encouraging her to improve. With time, practice, and her mother’s support, Tina became one of the best hairstylists in her community.
‎What people once called “just playing” became her talent and her success.
