In the above screenshot you will see my Ambassador Code. It looks like this: https://splinterlands.com/register?ref=rentmoney. Your Ambassador code will look similar to mine with the key difference of your profile name being placed where mine is. To get to the section that displays your code simply log in to Splinterlands > hover over and click the tool icon at the top corner next to you profile image > a new pop up will appear > click the words displayed that says Ambassador Status > Boom you are in the right section. Simply copy and paste the link displayed to your blog or anywhere else you are allowed to do so (no spamming). You will be given credit for anyone who clicks and sign ups to Splinterlands using your link. I recently had someone from the great wide web click my affiliate link and purchase the Spellbook. When this happens Splinterlands places 500 credits in my account. What shall I do with them?

I could let the credits sit in my account. But nah, lets go shopping. My first initial thought was to purchase a card or two directly from the Splinterlands card market but it hit me. Lets go purchase some packs instead. To get to the Foundation pack market (Player2Player market) simply log in to Splinterlands > hover over the shop icon > select card packs out of the drop-down menu > select the pack set you want to purchase (in my case its Foundation) > Boom you are in the right section. Next you will need to enter the details of your purchase. I decided to purchase 5 Foundation packs which at current time cost 510 Credits. If I were to use DEC the total cost would of been 796.14 DEC. Splinterlands accepts DEC at the rate of $1/1000 but because the Foundation Pack market is a player2player market trades using DEC is calculated using the then DEC trade value on outside markets such as TribalDex (Powered by Hive-Engine). Credits have a value of 1000 credits is equal to $1.00 USD. Credits can be purchased using paypal which is conveniently located on the Splinterlands site.

After purchase if you want to view the newly traded for packs/ or if you want to open some packs you need to head to the mana well. To do that simply log in to Splinterlands > hover over and click open > you are now in the right section > you will see a list of packs displayed with the amount that is owned by you. Please note that if you only want to view packs that you hold there is a toggle option to the side that states Only Show Owned. Ticking the box next to that text will give you a screen similar to the one displayed above this text. The only difference will be the page will display your owned packs. The above screenshot displays @rentmoney's owned packs. To open a pack simply click on it and drag it to the mana well and then release. You will be met with some graphics. Once the graphics are done you will be presented with an open pack. You flip each card individually or open them all at once. Personally I find one at a time to much more fun. Every-time one of those rumble its time to very loudly proclaim Turn Gold to your screen. I heard it doesn't help the odds of it doing so but logic be darned I say do it anyways!

Pack Opening

Above is an example of a standard pack opening. Four commons and one Rare. A closer look at that opening shows a little more to the story than meets the eye. The Rare we hit was a Archon (Heck Yeah). The commons we hit are also heavy hitters. The Dire Bear is a beast that I routinely play. Twice Yester Knight is another beast of a card I play often. Chaos Furybringer with its reach is a great card for second position. That leaves us with Spinetail Fiend with two attack and four life sporting a speed of 3 for just 6 mana. I'm more than happy with that pull. PeakMonsters is telling me the 10 cent pack I just opened had contents inside valued at $0.18 List Price/ $0.16 Market Price.

For those who might be unfamiliar with the lingo above. List price means the value the holders of the cards want. Market price is the last sold for price. In the case of the above pack both numbers are reasonably close to each other. One further note before we end this post.
