Hello Co-Splinterlands Players!

This is my "SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE" post for this week for #Splinterlands with a theme monster:

Cool Text - Dragons 417341025238027.png

DRAGONS is one of the Elements in Splinterlands. This element is very unique because this is the only element that you can partner with another element during a battle. It means that you can use 2(or 3 if Neutrals is counted) Elements in one battle. Because of this mechanism, Dragon Elements have a wide range of strategies that you can work on.

If you want to have an Explosive Offence, choose a summoner that can buff your damages :

  • Daria Dragonscale(+1 Melee Damage)
  • Selena Sky(+1 Range Damage)
  • Delwyn Dragonscale(+1 Magic Damage) and
  • Archamage Arius(+1 Melee, +1 Range and +1 Magic Damage).

If you want to be Defensive, you can choose on these summoners : - Neb Seni (+1 Speed) - Drake of Arnak (+1 Shield) - Brighton Bloom (+ Flying Ability to Monsters) - Byzantine Kitty (+2 Speed, + True Strike Ability to Monsters and Tank Heal)
You can also counter your opponents by applying de-buffs to their Monster by choosing the following summoners : - Camila Sungazer (-1 Melee Damage) - Quix the Devious (-1 Range Damage, -1 Speed)
There are also Dragon Summoners that don't have any Buffs, De-buffs or Additional Ability to Monster but can be used efficiently in conserving mana for Low Mana Battles : - Kretch Tallevor - Prince Julian
With these different kind of Summoners, you can devise different strategies that can work on your gameplay. Additionally, if you use many combinations on your past battles, your next opponents will have a hard time in countering your line up.

To begin with, Dragons already have many cards to choose on, in addition to its variety of strategies that can be played on. Because of these, I had a hard time on choosing which card to feature for this week "SHARE YOUR BATTLE CHALLENGE".

What I did is, I keep on battling and battling with Dragon Element until I find what I feel is the best battle to share. And because of that battle, I decided on which card to feature, and that is :

Cool Text - Daria Dragonscale 417343568022718.png

DARIA DRAGONSCALE is an Epic Card Summoner of Dragon Splinter with +1 Melee Damage Buff and a cost of 4 mana. Below is Daria Dragonscale stats :

RULE SETS

image.png

| | | |-|-| |**SUPER SNEAK**| - All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.| |**UP CLOSE & PERSONAL**| - Only Monsters with Melee attack may be used in battles.| |**MANA CAP**| - 40| |**AVAILABLE SPLINTER**| - Fire, Water, Earth, Life and Dragons|

This rule sets are perfect for Daria Dragonscale for his +1 Melee Damage Buff. But before I chose Daria, I've been thinking if I will use Daria or Camila Sungazer (-1 Melee Damage). But since Death Splinter is unavailable to partner with Camila. I therefore choose Daria Dragonscale and Life Splinter as his ally partner.

MY LINE UP
POSITION
CARD
REMARKS
SUMMONER
image.png As I mentioned above, I choose Daria as Summoner for his +1 Melee Damage Buff to take advantage of the Rule Sets, Super Sneak and Up Close and Personal
MONSTERS:
1
image.png I chose Sacred Unicorn because of its high damage. And with Daria's and my 2nd Monster's, Silvershield Knight, buff, it will a whooping 7 Melee Damage
2
image.png For me, this is almost a must have card on your line if Up Close and Personal Rule is in effect.
3
image.png My first favorite card. I like this card because of the Double Attack plus Sneak Attack. For Level 5 base damage is 2. Then it will be buff by Daria and Silvershield Knight. It will become 4 damage per attack. a total of 8 damage, more than Sacred Unicorn!
4
image.png Just like Silvershield Assassin, Hobgoblin has its Double Attack as well and making 8 damage attack as well with the buffs. If mana cap was a little higher, I will put here The Vigilator because it can attack 4 times with the following Rule Sets that are in effect.
5
image.png Soul Fiend is for Filler Spot. Even though it only has a base of 1 melee damage, it will become 3 melee damage after applying the buffs, making it a decent offensive card that can make an impact.
6
image.png Carnage Titan also has Double Attack and has a base of 3 melee damage. After the buffs it will become 5 making it a possible 10 melee damage. Isn't that awesome! I put it at the last Position because it has also a Shield Ability that can tank a Sneak Attack Barage.

--- ##### **THE BATTLE**

My opponent this time also choose Daria as the Summoner, maybe because he also want to take advantage of the Rule Sets.

Summoner Daria Dragonscale
Monsters:
Position 1 Goblin Mech
Position 2 Disintegrator
Position 3 Jared Scar
Position 4 Dhampir Infiltrator
Position 5 Soul Fiend
Position 6 Djinn Chwala

Putting Djinn Chwala at the last Position is also a good strategy to counter the Super Sneak Rule. But the downside of this is if the attacker has a very high damage, D.Chwala might still get eliminated fast.
**ROUND 1**

image.png

Round 1 Starts with Silvershield Knight attacking Djinn Chwala.

  1. Silvershield Knight attacks Djinn Chwala with 3 damage. D.Chwala's Thorn damage SS Knight with 2 damage.
  2. Sacred Unicorn attacks Goblin Mech with 6 damage.
  3. Silvershield Assassin attacks D.Chwala with 3 damage twice. D.Chwala's Thorn damage SS Assassin with 2 damage twice as well.
  4. D.Chwala attacks Carnage Titan with 4 damage.
  5. Hobgoblin attacks D.Chwala with 3 damage twice. D.Chwala's Thorn damage Hobgoblin with 2 damage twice as well eliminating Hobgoblin.
  6. Carnage Titan attacks D.Chwala with 4 damage once. Eliminating D.Chwala. D.Chwala's Thorn damage C.Titan with 1 damage. C.Titan attacks Soul Fiend with 4 damage once. Eliminating Soul Fiend.
  7. Soul Fiend attacks Dhampir Infiltrator with 2 damage.
  8. Dhampir Infiltrator attacks C.Titan with 2 damage twice.
  9. Goblin Mech attacks S.Unicorn with 5 damage.
  10. Jared Scar attacks C.Titan with 4 damage.
  11. Disintegrator attacks C.Titan with 2 damage. Eliminating C.Titan.

Round 1 ended with 2 eliminations for both sides. After this round, I already gained the advantage because the speed of my monsters is faster the my opponent's. Therefore if my monsters can attack first, they will have the chance to eliminate my opponent's monster first, that will result to a decrease in his damages.

**ROUND 2**

image.png

  1. SS Knight attacks D.Infiltrator with 3 damage. Eliminating D.Infiltrator.
  2. S.Unicorn heals himself with 3 Hp and attacks Goblin Mech with 6 damage. Eliminating Goblin Mech. With Trample Ability activation, S.Unicorn attacks Disintegrator with 6 damage.
  3. SS Assassin attacks Jared Scar with 3 damage twice.
  4. Soul Fiend attacks Jared Scar with 2 damage. Eliminating Jared Scar.
  5. Disintegrator attacks S.Unicorn with 3 damage.

Round 2 ended with 2 eliminations for my side and 5 eliminations for my opponent making Disintegrator his last monster.

**ROUND 3**

image.png

  1. SS Knight attacks Disintegrator with 3 damage. Eliminating Disintegrator.

With this last attack. I grab the Victory.

My strategy is that it focus on having a high melee damages by adding the buffs of Daria Dragonscale and Silvershield Knight. In addition to this I also chose monster with the Double Strike Ability making my line up having a really high damage output.

As I mentioned above, if the mana cap was higher, I would have use The Vigilator and also the Red Dragon. These 2 monsters have 2 attacks. The Vigilator has a Range and Melee Damage while the Red Dragon has a Magic and Melee attack. By having the Buff of Daria Dragonscale and Silvershield Knight, their damage outputs will skyrocket for sure.

My opponents strategy didn't work maybe because he combine buffs and de-buffs for his strat. I think this might work if he focus on de-buffs and use Camila Sungazer together with Disintegrator and another monster with Demoralize Ability plus a monster with Shield Ability on the last Position. I think that difference in our strategy is the reason that I emerge Victorious for this Battle.
