Abel is a young man with blue eyes and hair as yellow as the sun's rays who likes to collect snakes. The food to keep these snakes is very expensive. He invented, raising rats and mice to feed these snakes. He made a laboratory, from which he took out several wooden shelves. There he placed several plastic baskets. On top of these baskets he placed a metal mesh, where he placed some concentrated grains, which are the food for these rodents. In a corner of the upper part of the shelf he placed a plastic container; to this he installed some plastic tubes, through which water flows down to each section where the rats and mice are located and by suction the rodents absorb the water. In addition, each basket on its door has a wooden pin to keep these rodents enclosed. Abel goes to the store weekly to buy concentrated food for his rodents.
He then places a mouse in each plastic basket with several rats so that they can procreate and have their offspring. Each rat gives birth to 8 to 12 rats and Abel is very happy, because every day he gets more bang for his buck, as he has more rodents and therefore more food for his snakes.
Next door to this young man's house lives Maria, who is a brunette with jet-black eyes, tall, with a good figure and very affectionate. She has a good friendship with her neighbor Abel. Maria has a cat named Hero, who does not like to hunt rats or mice . When he meets them in the street, he meows as a courtesy greeting.
When she visits Abel's house with her cat . He is located in front of the shelf where the rats are and meows as much as he does, thus establishing a communication with those rodents, who, from their baskets, communicate with him, responding to his greeting by blinking their big eyes and start running around inside the basket, expressing their joy at seeing him, so free, and them all the time in captivity.
The young woman commented to Abel: “I have a feeling, it seems to me that these animals are communicating with each other”. Abel remains engrossed and asks her: “How did you realize it?”, she answers: “It was very easy for me, I know my Hero very well”.
Maria, after her nap, invited Hero to go to the store, where they sells concentrated foods for animals. When they arrive and pass by the container where the concentrated foods for rats and mice is, Hero stops and starts meowing. In this way, a close friendship grew between the animals. Maria went more often than Abel, because her cat demanded it with his gestures. She would converse with Abel for long periods of time. Hero took advantage of this time to lift his paws and rest for a long time on the baskets, communicating with the rats and mice in this way. Despite Abel's insistence, he separated the rats and left them with just one mouse. Hero moved with his claws from basket to basket, establishing a dialogue between them.
Nine months passed, and one winter morning, Abel went to Maria’s house and asked, “Can you stay at my house at noon while I go shopping?”, excitedly, she replied: “Yes, my cat is happy to accompany me!” As soon as the young man left, Maria headed towards Abel’s house with the key in hand. Upon arriving and opening the door, Hero hurriedly ran to her friends. There is a rat that is the leader. And it had been days since it had escaped from the basket and Abel did not notice its absence.
Upon seeing Hero, the leader rat ran ahead of him and led him to a tunnel. Very softly, she whispered in his ear: "I did this with my little claws. I'm just a little bit away from opening the hole that will take us to the street, so we can escape with other friends." Hero told her: "I'll help you." And in a split second, he finished opening the tunnel. The leader told him: "I need you to help me with your claws to remove the bolt from the baskets where my other friends are being held."
Hero quickly opened all the doors. By then, there were no rats left; everyone was grown up and aware of the escape. Once they began to go through the tunnel, the last one to go through was the Leader. Before doing so, she added very decisively: "Hero, I need you to accompany us near the river, so you can defend us from the bad cats that might catch us." With great courage he replied: “Go ahead, I'm following yo.
They immediately set off to reach their intended destination, and Hero accompanied them until they reached Safe Harbor. With their little claws in greeting, all his friends said goodbye. He is very happy because he helped his friends, the rats and mice, escape from their captivity.

Amigos en cautiverio
Abel es un joven, de ojos azules y pelo amarillo como los rayos del sol, al que le gusta coleccionar serpientes. La comida para mantener estos ofidios, es muy cara. Inventó, criar ratas y ratones para alimentar a estas serpientes. Elaboró un laboratorio, del que hizo varias estanterías de madera. Allí colocó varias cestas de plástico y las colocó dentro de la estantería. Encima de estas cestas colocó una malla metálica, donde ubicó unos granos concentrados, que son su alimento. En una esquina de la parte superior de la estantería ubicó un recipiente de plástico; a éste le instaló unos tubitos de plástico, a través de los cuales baja el agua a cada sección donde se encuentran las ratas y ratones y por succión el roedor absorbe el agua. Además, cada cesta en su puerta tiene un pasador de madera para mantener encerrados a estos roedores. Abel va semanalmente a la tienda a comprar comida concentrada para sus roedores.
Después coloca un ratón en cada cesta de plástico con varias ratas para que puedan procrear y tener sus crías. Cada rata da a luz de 8 a 12 ratas y Abel está muy contento, porque cada día saca más partido a su dinero, ya que tiene más roedores y, por tanto, más comida para sus serpientes

Hero aprovechaba este tiempo para levantar las patas y descansar un buen rato sobre las cestas, comunicándose así con las ratas y los ratones.
