Hello community! In this post, I want to share some of the pictures I captured while walking through Santiago de Chile, a vibrant and diverse city. These images were taken with my Canon M50, using the 15-45mm lens and a Black Mist filter, which gives a soft cinematic glow to overexposed lights.
I had already posted these shots on Instagram, but I wanted to bring them to Hive to show you this city through my artistic perspective.
📍 Photographic route
I started at the Gabriela Mistral Museum, right in front of Cerro Santa Lucía, and walked through the city photographing urban life, buildings, traffic, and the people who bring the city to life. This time, I didn’t enter the hill, though I’ve shared photos from there before.
I finished my route near Universidad de Chile Metro Station, where I headed back home.
🌆 Personal reflection
Santiago was the first big city I ever experienced. I come from Margarita Island, Venezuela, and while there's life and commerce there, the scale and energy of Santiago was something completely new for me.
If you ever visit this amazing city, I recommend places like:
- Museum of Fine Arts
- Quinta Normal Park and its museums
- San Cristóbal and Santa Lucía Hills
- Bicentenario Park in Vitacura
But this post is especially about the Gabriela Mistral Museum area and surroundings.

¡Hola comunidad! En esta publicación quiero compartir algunas de las fotos que capturé caminando por la ciudad de Santiago de Chile, una ciudad vibrante y llena de contrastes. Estas imágenes fueron tomadas con mi Canon M50 usando el lente 15-45mm y un filtro Black Mist, el cual le da un toque de suavidad especial a las luces altas y crea un ambiente cinematográfico.
Estas fotos ya las había compartido en Instagram, pero ahora quise traerlas a Hive para mostrarles un poco de esta ciudad desde mi mirada artística.
📍 Recorrido fotográfico
Partí desde el Museo Gabriela Mistral, justo frente al Cerro Santa Lucía, y desde allí bajé caminando por la ciudad, capturando la vida urbana, las edificaciones, los vehículos y a las personas que hacen vida en las calles. En esta ocasión no entré al cerro, pero ya he compartido fotos de allí anteriormente.
Finalmente, llegué hasta la zona del Metro Universidad de Chile, donde di por terminado el recorrido y volví a casa.
🌆 Reflexión personal
Para mí, Santiago fue la primera gran metrópolis que conocí. Vengo de la Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, y aunque allá también hay movimiento, el contraste fue muy grande. Santiago está lleno de vida, arquitectura moderna y cultura.
Si alguna vez tienes la oportunidad de visitarla, te recomiendo mucho lugares como:
- Museo de Bellas Artes
- Parque Quinta Normal y sus museos
- Cerro San Cristóbal y Cerro Santa Lucía
- Parque Bicentenario en Vitacura
Pero este post está dedicado en particular al área del Museo Gabriela Mistral y sus alrededores.
