Opening Splinterlands's Pandora Box - An Unusual Dragon Battle

Splinterlands is not just another game... it’s a rebellion! Vonak!
Blending deep strategy with the power of decentralization, Splinterlands has redefined blockchain gaming. Here, players don’t just play—they own their in-game assets, making every battle more than just a fight; it’s a stake in the game’s universe.
Whether you're purchasing cards, unlocking reward chests, or opening packs, every asset is securely stored on the blockchain, ensuring true ownership and full control over your collection.
The Social Media Challenge dares us to showcase battles of epic proportions—and trust me, I have plenty! I’ve been saving legendary clashes for ages, but with new ones constantly piling up, finding the time to share them all hasn’t been easy.
Today we will open Pandora’s Box once again, and pick the oldest battle from my draft vault! Get ready for the duel... it’s a showdown worth seeing! Last week I defeted the mighty Tofu, and I am sure you are looking forward to another mind-blowing encounter!
I was hit by disappointment when I seen that the links of those old battles were not leading to a battle... but to the main menu. I felt defeated! Over 100 battles that I've thought will deserve a share were not available anymore, probably deleted from the game's cache after the newest updates and upgrades.
I kept trying the links one by one until I finally found one that worked! Under the title "New Hall Of Legends v Tofu" I found this battle that was trully remarkable! Then I continued the search and the next working link was the last one, called just "dragon" and as expected... involved a dragon!
An Unusual Dragon Battle
Must admit I was surprised by my selection, mainly because a 10-mana summoner is not often used in a 19-mana battle. However, I went for Nidhoggr and filled up the ranks with low cost units. This dragon was flying cheap like Ryanair!
Nidhoggr: -1 Health & -1 Armor to enemies, plus tactics.
Scorch Fiend: Melee Zero Mana Legendary
Halfling Refugee: Melee with Weary
Kra'ar Xoc: Support with Scavenger
Moxian Rebel: Caster with Weapon Training
Venari Heathsmith: Support with Void Armor
I can't remember why I went for Nidhoggr in a battle with only 19 mana for team selection, but the tactic was excellent. I used the Scorch Fiend as a decoy, and the Halfling Refugee as the main tank! The Moxian Rebel boosted two support units with magical power, and the summoner added Blast and Deathblow to trio!
I was facing the hulking Commander Slade, backed up with heals from the Merdaali Guardian. Luckly enough, my casters were supercharged with blasting powers, and they ensured that the healer wouldn't survive past the first round.
At the start of round two, Commander Slade was alone against my minions. His attack took half of the Halfling health and reduced his attack but wasn't enough to tip the scale in his favor. The casters launched  a rain of arcane missles and secured the victory! See the full battle here
