Sinopsis: En Yorkshire, Inglaterra. Lockwood es el nuevo inquilino de la Granja de Thrushcross, propiedad de Heathcliff. A fin de concretar los detalles del arriendo, visita a Heathcliff en su residencia, llamada Cumbres Borrascosas. Dada la hostilidad con que es recibido, le pide al ama de llaves de la Granja, Nelly Dean, que le explique la razón, y esta procede a contarle la historia familiar. Con ello, conocerá todos los detalles de un intenso drama familiar.
Synopsis: In Yorkshire, England. Lockwood is the new tenant of Thrushcross Farm, owned by Heathcliff. In order to finalize the details of the lease, he visits Heathcliff at his residence, called Wuthering Heights. Given the hostility with which he is received, he asks the housekeeper of the Farm, Nelly Dean, to explain the reason, and she proceeds to tell him the family history. Se parte conociendo los antecedentes de la historia en donde la familia Earnshaw adopta un huérfano, nombrado Heathcliff. Esto genera el rechazo de su hermano Hindley pero a la vez se forma un lazo con su hermana Catherine. En el tiempo, y tras varios acontecimientos, se formará un resentimiento y odio en Heathcliff, que se transformara en un deseo de venganza intenso y se materializara en diversas formas.
We begin with the background of the story where the Earnshaw family adopts an orphan, named Heathcliff. This generates the rejection of his brother Hindley but at the same time a bond is formed with his sister Catherine. In time, and after several events, a resentment and hatred will form in Heathcliff, which will be transformed into an intense desire for revenge and will materialize in various forms.
Por otro lado, también se menciona a los Linton, familia cercana y que viven en la Granja de Thrushcross, familia adinerada, ellos comenzarán a formar lazos con los Earnshaw y los acompañarán en toda la historia. Es una historia que abarca diversas generaciones y conseguirán su resolución al final del libro.

Es una gran obra, se nota ya cuando comienza a conocerse mejor a los personajes, entre ellos destacando Heathcliff y Catherine. Muchos de los personajes tienen sus propios demonios y que les es difícil superar. Se abordan diversos temas, desde el de la venganza por amor, los efectos de la posición social de esa época, la enseñanza y crianza de los niños y sus efectos a futuro.
It is a great literary work, you can already tell when you begin to get to know the characters better, among them Heathcliff and Catherine stand out. Many of the characters have their own demons that are difficult to overcome. Various themes are addressed, from revenge for love, the effects of the social position of that time, the education and upbringing of children and its effects on the future.
Su aspecto de novela romántica, se ve bastante reflejado en el personaje de Heathcliff, quien su furia y deseo por un amor irrealizable lo volverá un demonio para el resto de personas. Por otro lado, Catherine se muestra como un personaje el que sus propios deseos se vuelven contradictorios y esto mismo la deriva en el delirio.
Its romantic novel aspect is reflected in the character of Heathcliff, whose fury and desire for an unrealistic love will turn him into a demon for the rest of the people. On the other hand, Catherine is shown as a character whose own desires become contradictory and this leads her to delirium.

La historia es entretenida, si bien al comienzo, no parece que vaya a ser la gran obra que nos dicen, es cuando ya nos ubicamos en medio de la misma que las emociones y pensamientos que desprende la obra nos envuelve.
The story is entertaining, although at the beginning, it does not seem that it is going to be the great work that we are told, it is when we are already in the middle of it that the emotions and thoughts that emanates from the work surrounds us.
Es fácil de leer, pero recomiendo mantener una guía de personajes, ya que ciertos nombres se repiten, así como varios apellidos. Muy recomendable.
