Why No Anime?

By @pluspower2/21/2018anime

Hey guys, here I am again for another review but this time this would be a review not for an Anime but for a Manga that hadn't got an Anime adaptation. The Manga that I will discuss today is titled Domestic na Kanojo(Domesticated Girlfriend)

I flew into reading this one recently and I am telling you guys, this one won me instantly the moment I got into the first 20 chapters. Right now, I am around the 90th chapter and I am still addicted in reading this work.

Domestic Girlfriend is about a boy that gets involved into complicated relationships such as relationship with a teacher/stepsister as his lover. As always, I don't want to spoil the whole work itself because it is a worthy read. Even I, a man who doesn't want to get involved in such complicated relationships or drama got hooked into reading it, what more if you're an avid drama fan.

People who will read this post might say, "but Onion, by the way you described the Manga itself, it sounds like another harem genre sh** work that these nerds are patronizing because of these fan service that these garbages keep on using to attract audience"...

Actually, Domesticated Girlfriend also have the same elements like other harem genre but what makes this one different is that the sexy scenes are really necessary for the scenes to be effective as a story. The story itself is violent in a sense that is realistic.

There are Animes like To Love-ru and Shokugeki no Shoma(food wars) that use a technique that strikes ecchiness in an exaggerated way which I also find good and effective. Just for comparison, Domesticated Girlfriend does it in a different way, sometimes the author uses the sexy scenes as a joke or punch line but still it doesn't go way off track, the joke itself still has relevance in the story which is deep and serious.

I had already read some of the earlier works of the author of Domesticated Girlfriend and up until now it makes me wonder why doesn't any of her works gets an Anime or even just a live action movie or a drama.

The name of the Author is Sasuga Kei which I find funny because the name can be used as an expression that makes sense in Japanese. "Sasuga" means "as expected" if taken in another way than a name and "kei" of course is a name. A cute name.

The work that I had read before Domesticated Girlfriend that is the work of Sasuga sensei's is titled Good Ending. I already mentioned that Manga in my last post.

Sasuga sensei's work is more focused on relationship conflicts of young adults around 16-20 years old which most of the time involves in sexual issues such as curiosity and pleasure that transitions to the real meaning of how to love. I do think that because of the story being deep and serious the Sasuga sensei's work aren't looked for tv or move adaptations. But still, I do believe any of her works deserves one, even just a short tv drama.

Ending this post with a score!

I don't have anymore to say about this Manga so to end this post I will give it a score. For this Manga, I will be giving it a score of 8 out of 10. I gave an 8 because I am not really fond in Mangas in this genre but considering the quality of the work I have to still give it an 8. So that is how it is, it gets barely a perfect score from me because it is not a genre of my taste.

Will I suggest it? Yes, to readers around 14 and up, I would totally suggest it but for younger audiences I might tell them to read it when they are older because of how serious the drama of the story is.

So that is all for today, thank you for reading this post or just by looking at the borrowed pictures. Thanks. :D
