3 long weeks of waiting and here I am.
(the time it took for my steemit account to be activated)
When you're younger, you're told to never give out personal information online. Do not talk to strangers on the internet. If you even had the thought of putting up a picture of yourself online you were demanded for it to be taken down. Want to buy something off the internet? You better not use your banking information. During this time, I was always intrigued by the internet, but was always told to stay far away from it. I, of course, didn't listen and signed up on gmail. The internet, to me, was a world full of new content that I had never experienced before in my life. I watched videos of people having fun with their friends, I saw pictures of cats with funny captions, I saw advertisements for companies I've never never even heard of before. The more I saw, the more I wanted to become part of this community. I was done living behind the avatar-less profile, it was finally time to post something.
3 long weeks of waiting and here I am, long past being scared to say that, Hi, my name is Lupita Perez . I am a teenager living in California whose hobbies including drawing, listening to music, napping, and always being online. I love drawing either traditionally or digitally.
I'm here to make friends.
I'm proud to be here, and I'm proud of long since jumping that anxiety ridden social media hurdle.
