“The greatest thing that ever happened to me was when I asked for help, there was no one there to help me. I don’t stop when I’m tired. I stop when I’m done."

This was said by an individual, born 1975, who growing up had to overcome psychological and physical abuse during childhood, obesity, a high school GPA of 1.6, asthma, sickle cell trait and depression.

In the late 1990s, he lost 110 pounds in three months to be 190 and went on to became the only member in the U.S. Armed Forces to complete SEAL training, U.S. Army Ranger School and Air Force Tactical Air Controller training.

In 2005, he decided to run an ultra marathon to raise money for charity.

He raised over $2 million dollars.

Five years later, during a routine medical checkup, his doctor discovered that he suffered from atrial septum defect (ASD) which meant that his heart was only able to function at about 75 percent capacity.

This individual had surgery to repair his heart and within a year, was back out running and cycling.

He is known as one of the world’s strongest people, not as much for his physical strength but instead for his mental fortitude in persevering no matter what.

This person is David Goggins, a testament to the fact that human potential knows no bounds.
