Here is another painting that I wanted to share with you all:

The title of the piece is 'Riverside' and it was painted using the Mischtechnik, in which the highlights are built up using egg tempera and then glazed over with transparent layers of oil paint. Using this technique creates interesting optical colour mixing effects and makes it look as though the painting is glowing from within (though sadly the pixels cannot capture this). I painted this almost two years ago at the Vienna Academy of Visionary Art while learning from Amanda Sage.
Below is a photo from very early on in process. When looking at the original painting, these warmer tones subtly shine through the transparent layers above them.
