After a long time of bad weather, this morning, we finally saw a bit of that light from the end of the tunnel... I forgot when it began, but this 2026 was awful for Spain, especially for the part where I live... Relatively close, we had that terrible train accident, a lot of rain and floods around the country, and recently, strong winds pulling out trees, taking off roofs, and causing damage all around...

Just until yesterday, we had an orange warning for strong winds, and for the first time, I got that strange mobile message when it rings despite being on silent! Hopefully, you will not get something like that on your phone, as it usually means something dangerous is coming...

Speaking of wind, what you can see above is a direct result of its strength... Strong winds created big waves, which washed out the beach! Btw, what you can see in the bottom right is the border of the promenade where I was walking, and usually, from that point, until you reach the sea, you should walk around 20-30 meters... As you can see, the sea came close, just 2-3 meters from the promenade! The sand and the beach are gone! These water pipes are usually deep under the sea, and not like this...

Speaking of wind, some of the sand finished on the promenade too... This will probably be cleaned up during the day...

On the other side, the wind didn't make all uglier... Thanks to it, I think I made one of my best photos this year (at least to me 😃), which is what you see above... It does look like a scene from the movie Dune! 🙂

The city Calp is divided into 2 parts by a huge rock, Penyon de Ifach... Every part has its own beach, and the other one stayed almost intact from the wind and waves! Probably because of the direction in which it is situated, and the direction from where the waves and wind were coming...

So, if you want to get from one beach to another, and you like some "adventurous" path, you have to climb a bit on the rock, walk among trees and narrow paths, but the final views are rewarding!

Stunning views, aren't they? 😍 The sea is still uncalm, but far away from how it was just a couple of days ago, and the day before yesterday!

As we are closer and closer to the second beach, things are getting calmer and calmer...

It's amazing how big a difference there is between these two beaches! The one where waves dragged out all the sand, and this one, where everything looks normal! It's the same city, the same day, after the same severe weather conditions!

For the end, I kept a bit of Spring's signs in the air... As we had a lot of rain, everything is green, like never before!

Except for this pastry shop, which has the name of my favorite Spanish pastry! 😃 Well, I said it was a perfect Sunday... Almost perfect... Unfortunately, the pastry shop wasn't open in these early Sunday hours, but I'll be back! 😂
Thank you for your time.
