It's Not Always An Easy Ride

When taking my rest the night before,

I was not expecting today to be one of those days,

Those days where despite my will,

I lack the energy to take any action.

But turns out it is out of my control,

The least I can do is accept,

It's not always an easy ride.

And yes I know I do have the energy,

The energy to rise above it all,

But somehow some days, I lose the access,

I try but I can't seem to get it right,

All my efforts seem wasted, nothing bears fruits,

All I can do is do what I don't always like,

Take a break,

It's not always an easy ride.

I did not choose to ever experience such days,

But somehow depression found it's way into my head,

And no matter how much I try to rid of it,

There always seems to be some remnants,

It can't all go away,

Battling something I am least aware of,

It's not always an easy ride.

But despite it all, I cannot give up,

Just like the blue sky never lasts,

A storm always comes to an end,

So will today get to pass,

I am not sure how tomorrow will be,

But at least I got hope that it will not be like today,

But that's tomorrow, all I can do is accept,

It's not always an easy ride.
