Greetings, everyone!
The government has tried its best to reduce the consumption of harmful drugs that would destroy the body system and a lot of things that could be accompanied by harmful consumption.
However, the government imposing high prices on these drugs would not prevent the drunk from taking them. They may not be able to afford it, but there is another way they can manipulate or find alternatives for these hard drugs; it could be the natural ones through plants. Like marijuana, my Dad planted this in his backyard. He doesn't smoke, but he can mix it with palm wine; he can mixed with something for treatment for someone.
Hard drugs are killing a lot; even on the label, it is boldly written, "Young people are liable to die young," but they still take it. The worst part of it is that this lifestyle has been in existence, and for the government to start now to fight against it is a hard thing. The drunk may be arrested, but when they are released, they will still go back to that joint. This is what addiction does to people. When people are addicted to something, it will be difficult for the person to detach from it.
My uncle from my paternal family died years back because of too much of consuming hard drugs, he liked smoking. As he inhales the smoke, he gets darker every day, and he doesn't look healthy at all; till his death, he doesn't look healthy on the skin and the internal body. For those who are not liable to die young, please refrain from hard drugs. Let's embrace the good opportunities that the government is bringing to us and stop risking our lives with hard drugs.
For these hard drugs to be minimized, the government should inform companies not to produce illegal drugs again, if they are against the law, they should be penalized or court order.
The production of these illegal products is killing people's vision of their lives. Some turned poor, and some turned mentally disordered in society, some being high to the point of fighting and destroying things; this is the result of consuming hard drugs that would always lead to illegal destruction and dying dreams.
Nevertheless, these illegal drugs are everywhere. There was a man I saw in my former place where I was living. He was in the UK; while he was there, he joined a gang drinking harmful drugs; he spent all his money on drugs and came to Nigeria to meet his family with nothing; no investment was made; he came back looking drunk and taking anyhow on the street. They even joined another gang in Nigeria; anywhere they drink or smoke, you will see him there. If they can eat veggies like they drink alcohol, it will be better; in fact,, our country would be a better place.
Overall, our country Nigeria, let's keep away from hard drugs. Health is wealth; when you are healthy, you will be productive and active physically, mentally, and emotionally. Let's keep away from hard drugs and go for the soft drinks.
