More Homework

Greetings, everyone!
I'm glad to be part of this featured contest.
Homework for children has a greater impact on the children than any other thing in the school or home environment. Not only in children but even in adults, after their training, they have to practice it on their own for internalization and to retain what they learned in school. However, teachers need to give children or pupils homework to come back to the house and do. It will help them.
Nevertheless, I remember in those days, my teacher used to give us homework back to the house that when I came home from school, after my lunch and some rest, my mind would be on my homework either my mom would show me or she would direct me to someone who would be able to show me to do the homework, and this exercise helped me in passing my tests and my need examination. The more I read and did my homework, the more I was getting improved in my academic journey. Truth be told, I enjoyed my time, and our teachers did well by giving us consistent homework. I could remember the day in school when I couldn't read on the board. My teacher read it several times, but I couldn't get it well, so she flogged me. Not enough, she wrote out the text for me to go back home and read. I came back home, and my mom asked me if I had given any homework; I said yes. After my lunch, she called me to bring my homework book. I brought it for her, and she asked me to read as my teacher taught me. Seriously, I couldn't read well, she caned me, she taught me again, and I read it the way it was supposed to be ready before she left me to rest. In the night, she would call me to read again, and before I left for school, I read again fluently. This was how my learning improved to perfection. I loved myself the more, that was how I cultivated the habit of reading and retaining information and reinforcing independent learning. My mom's involvement in my studies gave me the chance to grow.
Moreover, today, she is still involved in my small sibling's studies. I think I liked the method, teachers of today are giving homework to children. My siblings come from school after they have learned and memorized everything in the classroom. For example, if they were learning what a noun is and what types of nouns they with their examples. They would memorize it, and their teacher would be it this way. What is a noun? Different types of a noun with examples? These are the questions, and the answers would not be written in another book to come back, but they would come back with homework to test them if they were effective in the class.
My siblings were surprised; they would say all the things they were taught in class, and it would be put on a paper for them to copy to inside their homework book. I noticed that their spelling abilities improved, their memory retained faster, and they could write too and read novels; this one used to sweet me as one of my siblings would pick up my phone and read my text messages, and where she couldn't pronounce it well, I helped her.
Homework for children shouldn't be demolished; instead, the heads of Schools should encourage the teachers to give out assignments to the students, and homework would improve children's performance in any subject.
Overall, there should be more homework, more lesson teachers during their holidays, and things learned from school shouldn't stop at school. It would not be a good idea to scrap our homework; if it happens, our children will be useless and have nothing to offer in society.
