Hello, Hive people. It has been a hard year. Making a living from art has never been easy, everyone knows it. I wonder sometimes how did even cross my mind to choose that job, 40 years ago! Anyway.
I started my own art school in june and now it works fine enough.
I also sold around 10-15 artworks this year (the last ones this week to an american collector). The new rules on Artfinder (the online art shop my wife and I mostly used in the last 10 years) almost stopped our sales on that platform but there are many other online shop to list our art in.
There is also the trade war declared by the crazy american president with his tariffs and hostility: shipping costs are tripled - theorically it is the buyer who pays that costs but higher costs mean less sales. Anyway.
@Peakd launched a few weeks ago its open market for goods and services where one can pay using HD. It's a great feature, I think. My own store is here.
I tried myself to build something like that years ago when we all were on Steem. Glad to see something like that on Peakd!
So we are here, working and fighting and making art every bloody day! ;)
Let's see what the new year will bring to our lives.
In the meanwhile, here are the new watercolors I made in the last days:
