Yesterday Spiky and Cornelius came up to Pinky and Spiky said, "Look Pinky, today is Chinese New Year and this year will be the year of the pig. You should be proud they named a whole year after you..."
But Pinky looked sad. "What good does it do to me? Last year I was sick a lot and this year has started not any better. I had bacteria and sinus infection and now I have stomach flu..."
Cornelius asked Pinky, "Did you wash your hooves? I know you always tell Spiky to wash his paws..."
"My manners are superb, Cornelius. Everyone knows that piglets are some of the cleanest animals on earth..."
"What could have caused this stomach flu then?", asked Spiky.
"Maybe the bean salad... I thought it tasted funny and my tummy started to make weird sounds", said Pinky.
"What kind of sounds?", asked Cornelius.
"A sounds similar to the one frogs make."
Spiky asked, "Maybe you ate some live frogs then and they are trying to tell you to let them go."
"It's not funny, Spiky...", said Pinky.
"No, no, just think about it. If you ate a few frogs and now they are trying to get out, they must be very furious. Or desperate..."
"Spiky, stop..."
"...But how do we find out for sure? Hmmm... I know. Try to sing to them!", said Spiky.
Cornelius asked, "Can I sing too?"
"Yes, let's sing all three of us and see if the frogs respond", said Spiky.
Pinky thought for a moment and asked, "OK, what will we sing then?"
"How about the C major scale!", said Spiky.
And so Spiky and Cornelius started to sing: "Do, re, mi, fa, sol, la, si, dooooo..."
And Pinky joined them, "Do, si, la, sol, fa, mi, re, dooooo...'
Spiky asked Pinky, "Well, what do you feel? Did the frogs reply?"
Pinky listened for a while and said, "It worked! They are singing the D major scale now!"
