Fingertips, slipping through my hands, from my grasp
Gone, millions of miles, lifetimes from my love
Forever searching for you, in someone else
Gone, but somehow always here, on this journey
The road ahead endless, a long streak of loneliness
And as I pass each milestone of my heart,
Recalling our most cherished moments, and their landmarks
I guard what’s left of me, unwilling to fill the half of me, that’s empty
Shielding my heart, by impenetrable brick tower walls
My rear-view mirror begins to reflect regrets
Of your fingertips, slipping through my hands, from my grasp

Apart from me, parting ways
Millions of miles away from your touch, lifetimes from my love
Only able to admire you from a distance,
Every road leading to you, endless
Streets of loneliness
