I was talking with my sister some hours ago and we were going over the idea of religion and how it affects the modern world, things we read, what we say and things we view. Now,this is a subject I don't like talking about. I always draw a line but I don't know, my 12 years old sister said something that made me think back.
Right, where were we. Hello my lovely book lovers and readers. I just finished another book and I'd like to share it with you. What I loved about it. How it helped me see the world in another perspective and the idea of patriarchy (This doesn't really have to deal with that book but it's something we must discuss because I'm stuck in a hook undersea)
Alright, Birthday day Birthday day, reverse harem and Penelope Douglas. To be honest,I don't know why she write books like this. I just read them cause she's a really good author and I love the way the words and everything just flows.

"Birthday Girl" by Penelope Douglas is a new adult romance novel that's equal parts emotional, angsty, and swoon-worthy.
The story centers around Jordan, a 19-year-old college student who's trying to navigate her messy life. She's got a complicated past, a penchant for bad decisions, and a habit of pushing people away.
But here's the thing: Jordan's not your typical damsel in distress. She's feisty, sarcastic, and unapologetically herself – even when that self is a hot mess.
As Jordan stumbles through her sophomore year, she finds herself caught between two brothers: Pike and Jordan's (yes, that's his name too) past love. It's a love triangle that's equal parts messy, complicated, and sexy.
Now, I know what you're thinking: love triangles are so cliché. But trust me, Douglas makes it work. She weaves a narrative that's both heartbreaking and hilarious, with characters that are relatable, flawed, and utterly human.
One of the things that sets "Birthday Girl" apart is its willingness to tackle tough topics. Douglas doesn't shy away from exploring themes like trauma, grief, and mental health, but she does it in a way that's both authentic and accessible.
Of course, no new adult romance would be complete without a healthy dose of angst and drama. And let me tell you, "Birthday Girl" delivers. There are twists and turns, breakups and makeups, and enough emotional tension to keep you on the edge of your seat.
So if you're in the mood for a romance novel that's equal parts funny, sexy, and heartfelt, "Birthday Girl" is the perfect choice.
Alright guys, thanks for reading.
