Hola amigos de Hive. ¿Como estas todos? Esta vez quiero que vengas todos conmigo y disfrutes de este post de cuando fui al teatro, el pasado sábado 15 de junio.
I definitely love going to the theater, so I didn't hesitate for a second when my dear friend, actor and producer Pedro Mirabal invited me to see the premiere of Greda. I just took the opportunity to take some recent photos of the Orlando Araujo theater or in its Spanish acronym TOA.
Definitivamente yo amo ir al teatro, por eso no dude un segundo cuando mi querido amigo, actor y prducrtor Pedro Mirabal me invitó a ver la premier de Greda. Justo aproveché para tomar unas fotos recientes del teatro Orlando Araujo o en su siglas en español TOA.
El teatro Orlando Araujo,que a sus inicios era llamado teatro verdi esta úbicado en la calle Arzobispo Méndez en Barinas venezuela. Tengo entendido que fue fundado por unos italianos que inmigraron a Barinas, Venezuela locos por la opera y teatro hasta ya entrado los 90s que fue entregado a las entidades publicas. Recuerdo desde niña que mi abuelo me llevaba allí para disfrutar de estas magnificas presentaciones. Y si, los italianos dejaron tan bien puestas sus energías que ahora la loca por el teatro soy yo.
The Orlando Araujo Theater, which was originally called the Verdi Theater, is located on Arzobispo Méndez Street in Barinas, Venezuela. I understand that it was founded by some Italians who immigrated to Barinas, Venezuela, crazy about opera and theater until well into the 90s when it was handed over to public entities. I remember since I was a child that my grandfather would take me there to enjoy these magnificent presentations. And yes, the Italians put their energies so well that now I am the one crazy about the theater.
This theater is named after one of the greatest poets that Barinas has ever had and his name is Orlando Araujo. The name was changed in the 1990s and became part of the state government. I took these photos myself while waiting for the time to start the performance. I took advantage of that moment to greet some friends and people close to me, and look for a safe place for my bicycle, my iron horse named "La Morenita, alias Garota."
Este teatro lleva el nombre de uno de los poetas mas grande que ha tenido Barinas y se llama Orlando Araujo. El nombre fue cambiado en la década de los noventas y pasó hacer parte del gobierno estadal. Estas fotos las tome yo misma mientras esperaba la hora para dar inicio a la función. Aproveché ese momento para saludar algunos amigos y personas allegadas a mi, y buscar un lugar seguro a mi bicicleta, mi caballito de hierro que lleva por nombre "La Morenita, alias Garota."
This is a play inspired by the most recent publication of the collection of poems: "Dejen Quietas a las Flores" by the poet Mariana Ruiz Oviedo and poems by Mahmud Darwish.It is under the direction and artistic production of Deivis Sotillo Meléndez, together with the support of the National Theater Company, Núcleo Barinas and Teatro Acción, who gave life to this beautiful production: GREDA.
Esta es una obra inspirada en la más reciente publicación del poemario: "Dejen Quietas a las Flores" de la poeta Mariana Ruiz Oviedo y poemas de Mahmud Darwish. La misma está bajo la dirección y producción artística de Deivis Sotillo Meléndez, conjunto con el apoyo de la Compañía Nacional de Teatro, Núcleo Barinas y de Teatro Acción, quienes dieron vida a esta bellísima producción: GREDA.
Although it is true, I am not an actress and my participation and knowledge about theater is almost zero; However, I have experience closely following almost every production of the Theater since 2021 and I have never seen a set as compact and as elaborate as that of GREDA. The sand, the smoke, the lights, were each put in their place to give space to the theatrical magic, the redundancy so intimate, close to the viewer. It was something beautiful to experience that closeness with the actors and especially the issue of the effects left me stunned in the good sense of the words. Something I had not seen before in the Barinés theater.
Si bien es verdad, no soy actriz y mi participación y conocimiento sobre el teatro es casi nula; sin embargo, cuento con una experiencia siguiendo de cerca casi cada producción del Teatro desde el 2021 y jamá s había visto una escenografía tan compacta y tan elaborada como la de GREDA. La arena, el humo, las luces, fueron puestas cada una en su lugar para dar espacio a la magia teatral, vaya la redundancia tan íntima, cercana al espectador. Fue algo bellísimo de experimentar esa cercanía con los actores y sobre todo el tema de los efectos me dejaron atónita en el buen sentido de las palabras. Algo que no había visto antes en el teatro Barinés.
Greda also has the excellent participation of young actors and actresses such as Andrea Gacía, Jenmeli Garrido, Enderson Ramirez, Alvid Rodríguez, Anderson Quintero and the surprising participation by Deivis Soatillo. It is a work NOT suitable for children.

This extraordinary work has left me with several almost existential questions: Where is my war? Who is my war against and why? Thank you for reading me and remember that: Theater is life, and life is enjoyed.
