Here is an easy way to remember the best tried and true ways to stay healthy:
Use the acronym NEW START
(This comes from teaching from the Seventh Day Adventists and it is good advice for all)
N = Nutrition - You are what you eat, so eat food the way God made it for you or as close to that as possible.
E = Exercise - Move it, or lose it. You need some basic exercise for your muscles, bones, and blood circulation.
W = Water - It is necessary for all life. Drink half your weight in ounces per day for cleansing and weight control.
S = Sunshine - It makes you feel good for a reason. Get out in it and smile a while.
T = Time with God - He loves you, watches over you and has given you all you have. Be thankful - it's good medicine.
A = Air - Fresh air in your lungs revitalizes your body, mind and soul. Breathe deep...exhale. Repeat regularly.
R = Rest - Get some sleep and keep the Sabbath a holy day. God says we need to work, but also rest.
T = Travel - (This is my own because I don't remember what this "T" was) - It keeps you young and inquisitive in your heart and mind. Opens you to new ideas and dreams.
