El escape no será fácil; Abate ha fallecido y nosotros sentimos el dolor que siente Dantés, pero esa es la forma de camuflajear su escape; es lanzado al mar junto con Abate y ese momento también es desesperante.

Luego del escalofriante escape; Edmundo encuentra el tesoro y desde allí surge la personalidad del Conde de Montecristo, un ser que utiliza ese tesoro como una manera de ingresar en la sociedad y tratar con todos sus enemigos. Lo importante es que el Conde conoce los más profundos secretos de quienes le hicieron daño y deberán pagar tales hechos. Tiene un plan preestablecido y lo pondrá en práctica de una manera magistral; no hay violencia, sino psicología pura para que cada uno con su ambición vayan cayendo como moscas.
